Respectful and Reliable Carer

65, Teacher

Retired

Hi to those looking for a house sitter. Thank you for reading my profile and reviews.

I'm very excited to continue my 'house sitting' journey and I’m looking forward to caring for people's special pets and homes. I am a very active person keen to experience new adventures in different places.

I am a primary school principal/teacher by trade (still registered as a teacher with Victorian Institute of Teaching so have current police check as well as an up to date WWCC) but have recently retired. This gives me the time to explore house sitting opportunities.

I love animals and enjoy walks so I'm happy to combine the two. I’m fit and active being a long-time horse rider, while enjoying regular pilates classes and playing competitive netball.

I enjoy the peace and ambience of more quiet areas, but I do like the hustle and bustle of city life too. I live in Melbourne and I’m really happy to explore different suburbs. An occasional interstate house sit is something I like to do too.

I have included a photo of my fluffy girl who I had for 16 years. I regularly babysit my son's Kelpie and love taking him for long walks and giving him lots of pats. My daughter has a beautiful Golden Retriever who is much loved too. I've always had animals in my home and understand how precious they are to a family.

I am a very neat and tidy person (I have included a couple of photos of my home which I love) and I'm very respectful of the property of others - I will treat your home (and pets) as if they were my own - with the best of care.

Look forward to chatting about possible house sitting opportunities.

Cheers....Kim.

What you can expect………

Initial Visit:
I think it is super important to arrange pre house sit visits to ensure both sides are happy and comfortable before committing. Meeting your special pet once or twice (where possible) before looking after them is something I value as part of the house/pet sit process.

Pet Care:
From feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles, I ensure your pet feels loved and secure in their own environment. Catering to individual requirements and administering medications as required.

House Care:
Your home will be in safe hands. I will collect mail, water plants, and keep your space clean, tidy and secure. You won’t even know I’ve been there!

Regular Updates:
Expect regular photo updates and messages to keep you connected with your pets and home. I will ensure you are confident that your animals are in good hands and are happy and relaxed. I will reply to your messages in a timely manner to give you peace of mind.

All of my reviews attests to this.

Kim is such a lovely and thoughtful person. When we met she had paper in hand to take notes on any specific requirements for looking after our cat, Chewie and our house. Kim is super organised and very neat and tidy. Our house was spotless when we came home and while we were away, she communicated regularly with us sending photo’s of our cat lounging around enjoying the good life. Thanks so much Kim.

MIKELA (Fitzroy North VIC, Jan 2024 - 1 week)
I was able to enjoy a much-deserved holiday because I had complete faith in Kim. She treated my gorgeous dog like her own, acknowledging it as a great responsibility so she takes sitting seriously. My dog was so happy and loved. I received regular communication and photos. Unnecessary but I returned to a clean house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kim or use her again. Feeling comfortable in my home and with my most important pet is always a risk but I am so lucky to have come across Kim.

LOUISA (Port Melbourne VIC, Sep 2024 - 1 week)
Kim was an absolute delight to meet, communicated in a lovely and prompt fashion, and my shy anxious little cat Olive was obviously relaxed and confident during her stay - and noticeably un-bothered by having someone new around. This was lovely as it really showed how gentle and calm Kim was with her, and Olive usually gets very stressed with new people. My house was lovely and clean and tidy upon return. Thank you Kim!

ALEXANDRA (Richmond VIC, Aug 2024 - 2 nights)
Kim looked after our home and little dog for four days. . Kim was happy to meet with us before we left which ensured Charlie our dog was familiar with her. Kim promptly communicated with us before and while we were away and left our home neat and tidy. Understandably, Charlie was happy to see us on our return and certainly seemed well looked after and in good spirits. Would certainly recommend Kim for house sitting.

ELIZABETH (Norwood SA, Jul 2024 - 4 nights)
Kim was a lovely house sitter for our house and two cats. She was happy to give medication to one of our cats, and everything was clean and tidy on our return.

CHRIS (Rose Park SA, Apr 2024 - 1 week 2 nights)
Kim took exceptional care of our home and beautiful dog Oscar. Her communication was excellent and she updated us daily with photos of Oscar. The house was well taken care of and plants watered as required. Our home was left extremely clean and tidy. I’d love to book Kim in again for future house sits. She is absolutely wonderful!!

HAYLEY (Trott Park SA, Feb 2024 - 6 nights)
Kim, was such a positive and enthusiastic house sitter from our first conversation. Kim came to visit my home and cats before the required house sit, which I find is the only way to see how a sitter interacts with my cats, and how they present overall. Once we worked out that the best avenue for communication was Messenger, Kim not only kept me up to date on what each of my cats were doing, and how they were happily interacting with her, she posted pictures to backup up how well they were ... Kim won't know this until i post - but i've decided she's my sister from another mother! Thank you for staying in my humblie little home. Really appreciated the fun photos, and kitty clearly adored her. Cat was her very usual happy self when I came back, but I think she might be missing her new friend! The place was in better shape than when I left it. I really need to up my game. Goes without saying Kim is welcome here any time. (Is it wrong to say i was tempted to give a fake ... MORE

SONNA (Port Melbourne VIC, Aug 2023 - 2 nights)
Kim is not only a wonderful dog sitter but a genuinely lovely person. Kim looked after our little apartment and our doggo (Kevin) wonderfully, sending us updates and cute pictures of Kev to reassure us that all was well. I particularly appreciated the time spent before the sit to visit with us, to learn about our Kevin and her willingness to go with the flow. We came home to a clean apartment and a happy dog. Highly recommended.
