Hi, my name is Michell, I am a single 62 yr old who survived the floods in Lismore in Feb. I lost my rental home and all my contents after swimming to safety.
I have started on this journey of housesitting and finding I love it. Over the last 5 months, I have had the pleasure of caring for some beautiful pets and have fallen in love with each of them. I enjoy my daily walks with them and their cuddles too. It's been very healing for me.
I have decided to stay in the Cairns area as my daughter and her family have relocated here from Weipa.
I will treat your house with the same love and respect I would my own and I'm sure you will be happy on your return to find a clean and happy environment. My interests are alternative healing, gardening, walking, swimming, and reading.

Michell looked after our house and dog for two months while we travelled overseas. We could not have asked for more from our house sitter, Michell communicated with us regularly from the start and we were lucky that she could meet our dog before the house sit began. Our dog was healthy and happy, and the house was immacutale when we arrived home after a long journey, it was wonderful. We would definitely recommend Michell as a house sitter

I had not used Aussie Housesitters previously and didn’t know what to expect. Our dog had never been left for any length of time & we hoped she would be ok. Michel totally surpassed any expectations. She communicated regularly and our dog was obviously loved and cared for. I cannot recommend Michel and Aussie House Sitters highly enough.

This is the first time we have used this kind of service and whilst it was daunting, Michell looked after our animals - 3 x dogs with one being a insolent puppy and an aging narcissistic cat - and house and regularly updated us with photos and was very open with communication. Even though the cat and puppy were total jerks, Michell looked after and loved our animals, and we were able to enjoy our holiday without stressing about home. Michelle looked after the house, made more challenging as we had a weather event during that time. She especially cared for our two dogs, one who is aging. I could tell when I returned that she looked after them well because they were so excited to see her when she dropped the keys back a day later. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for a house / pet sit.

Michelle took very good care of my dog and house while I went on holiday and she went the extra mile in doing some washing which was appreciated immensely. The house was spotless when I returned home and I could see she took very good care of my elderly dog.
