Hi beautiful people,
We are Duygu and Richie, a married couple.

Richie is a Cave Guide Ranger with Parks Victoria working seasonally at Buchan Caves Reserve and Duygu is a Dance Teacher.

After fallng in love at the beginning of 2020, we started to live on an organic garlic farm called Ontos in W Tree, Victoria. We lived at Ontos for two years where we helped the farmers in the wake of the awful bushfires that came through just before we arrived. We helped with many different things to revive the farm and learnt a great deal in the process. We have grown lots of organic garlic, many other lovely veggies and fruits and helped look after the various animals; a dog, two cats, five cows, three horses, sheep, goats and lots of chickens. We have become good friends with the farmers; Fred and Neroli and they have been away several times and have been happy to trust us to look after the farm.

We have already had a couple of lovely experiences house/pet sitting through Aussie house sitters and we have looked after several of Richie’s colleagues houses and animals in Buchan.

We are both animal lovers and have had various pets in our lives. Our farm experience has added more richness to our knowledge of looking after animals and we would be happy to look after your garden or veggie patch.

We are really interested in learning more about sustainable living and communities, permaculture, meditation and yoga. We are also non-smokers, Duygu is a vegan, Richie is a vegetarian.

Our roots are coming from England and Turkey. Richie is an Australian citizen now, Duygu is a permanent resident. We both own houses in Australia and Turkey respectively and we know the responsbilities involved in caring for a home. In this chapter of our lives we are choosing to travel in our van, learn to live minimally and have more experiences and adventures.

We would love the opportunity to look after your place and pets as if they were our own.

Duygu and Richie are wonderful house sitters. They are kind and warm and were so caring and respectful of our home, garden and especially our animals. We were sent lovely pics and updates of the goings on at our little farm while we were away. Our home was left beautifully, our garden is better than how we left it and our animals are healthy and happy. We are so grateful. Highly recommend these guys and hope to get them back here sometime!

Richie and Duygu were amazing house sitters! Arrived when expected, were very thorough in asking questions about Meelahs needs. I received daily photos and they were very open and honest in their communication. Allowed me to relax while I was away knowing Meelah was well looked after. On return the house was cleaner than when I left! Would definitely have again.

We loved having Richie and Duygu look after our 3 cats and house sit for us for 2 nights. They asked us lots of questions when they arrived and asked if we wanted daily photo updates etc Everything was looked after perfectly and they are clearly animal lovers.
