We are looking for somewhere near Bruce for about the last 2 weeks, 25th jan 25 inwards, of the school holidays. Ideally with pool. We are a semi retired couple, engineer and social worker. We enjoy the outdoors and our interests include bushwalking cross country skiing and others. We have lived in several parts of the country including Darwin and Hobart. We lived on 5 acres in Hobart with our dogs, chickens, vegie patch, orchard and sheep for over 10 years while our children were growing up. We are currently home owners in Sydney. Our children are now scattered with our eldest in Canberra with his family. Currently we have no animals as sadly our 17yo dalmatian passed away a few years ago..
We love Aussie house sits website and are slowly accumulating references and we have done several house sits privately if more references are needed. We are non smokers and not party animals :) . To date we have looked after cats, dogs, axoloti, goldfish, turtles and cockateils :) loved them all. We have also been hosts in terms of offering our home on AIr BNB and Helpx where you can find alot of prositive references. We are fully vaccinated and Sally has WWC.
Currently we are looking for housesits near Bruce in Canberra. School holidays would be great but are open to any approaches.
We were very pleased to have Sally and Wayne looking after our house and three cats, one of which needed twice daily medication. The house was tidy and communication was very good, including photos of cats on laps etc. We would be happy to have them back.
Sally & Wayne poodle sat whilst we travelled, on our return the dog were happy & content, although excited to see us of course, the house was as we left, which is all anyone can ask. The lawn had been mowed, a lovely surprise as not requested. All in all, no concerns in inviting Sally & Wayne back in the future.
The house was left in an immaculate condition, the dog was happy and all my house plants survived. What more could we ask for! Correspondence was excellent both prior to the sit and during. We would gladly have them sit for us again and would recommend them highly to anyone.

Fantastic housesitting a who looked after my house and pet like their own. Had great communications with them from the start of the process. I have no hesitation in recommending them as housesitters for any length of stay.

Wayne and Sally were excellent sitters. They were easy to interact with and good in keeping us informed. The house, garden and pets were all well cared for. No hesitation in recommending them and would definitely have them sit for us again.
Sally and Wayne were lovely and took great care of our cats, axolotl and fish. The house was well cared for and was clean and tidy when we returned. We'd highly recommend these guys as house sitters and pet carers.
Sally & Wayne were a pleasure to deal with. Even though I was out of phone range most of the time, we managed to find ways to communicate, which was great. I came back to a tidy home with fresh sheets on the bed and linen washed. I noticed little extra things like this had been done, which made the return home much easier. Little touches had also been done which was a lovely surprise each time I came across them. Bella and the guinea pigs were happy and that makes for a very happy Me!
