We are a retired couple living in the Tweed Coast just south of the Qld NSW border. David has a rural background and had a career in agriculture. Meredith had a career in teaching and school counselling. David now enjoys tennis and Men’s Shed and Meredith has an addiction for all things sewing. We love visits to our daughter and son in law and our first grand baby who is a joy and a delight. Our house sitting adventures have been on hold for a little while now as Meredith and her sister have been providing as much care as they can for their 95 year old parents to enable them to stay in their own home. But we are ready to venture out again.
We would be happy to mind a small rural property with farm animals. We have had family pets that we have loved very much but sadly they are no longer with us. So we would care for and love your four legged family members in the same manner that you would love them and care for them. We own our own home and Meredith enjoys many hours in the garden so is willing to tend your garden while you are away. Both of us are readers and love living simply.
Meredith was the ideal house sitter. She looked after the house perfectly and it was cleaner than before she stayed. Meredith looked after our dog Marty with no problems and gave us little updates on him, which we loved because we missed him. I would be happy to leave my home with Meredith again. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Meredith is wonderful and we are sure Marty our dog loved her as well.
Meredith and David were absolutely fantastic -Cyril had a lovely time, was well looked after and sent through lots of pup dates to keep me updated !!
Communication with Meredith before and after the sit was awesome, was such an easy process and it was my first time using aussie house sitters so i was apprehensive leaving Cyril but Meredith and David couldn't have been better for our first experience :) will absolutely be asking them to sit Cyril and our house for all future trips :) and the ... I could not have asked for a better person to look after Polly. It was my first time with a pet sitter and I couldn't be happier. Polly was so well looked after and loved I think she might have rather gone home with Meredith ...thank you so much for taking special care of Polly.
It's always scary leaving your pets while on holiday, but Meredith and David made us feel like our pets were in such safe and loving hands. Asha our dog looked longingly after their car as they said goodbye, she loved their company and its testament to how well they cared for them while we were away. Meridith and David are the most wonderful house sitters. They stayed at our place and had their hands full with our 3 for babies. They loved them and spoilt them rotten, they weren't even excited when we got home they were so content! And they'd send us daily updates which we loved, including an adorable photo of our little blind dog reading a book with them.
The house was left far cleaner than how we left it, these two are fantastic and would be welcome back anytime.
Meredith and Dave are a lovely, friendly and easygoing couple who took amazing care of our dogs and house. They kept us up to date with pictures, messages and phone calls and were more than willing to take Bella to the vet with a health concern. The house was also well taken care of. We highly recommend Meredith and Dave for anyone needing house/pet minders and would have them back anytime.
Leaving your home and animals in the care of house sitters for almost two weeks can be stressful. Meredith and David made the experience so easy. They constantly updated us while we were on holidays with photos and messages. They left our home in tip top condition and we highly recommend Meredith and David to members who wish to have a worry free relaxing holiday.
It was great to meet Meredith and David and felt very comfortable that we had made the right choice in having them mind our house and pets. We left our house clean and tidy and returned to a clean and tidy house which was much appreciated. One of our dogs requires special attention and it was comforting to know that she was going to looked after by such responsible and caring people. We would definitely have them back and would recommend them to anyone
