  • Have owned our own farm in the past. Owned a private rescue & rehabilitation for horses, dogs, cats and birds mainly, however a range of different animals including domestic rats were cared for. Cherry is also a retired bare foot farrier who for quite sometime had her own lawn mowing and garden care business for rural properties. We have worked on quite a few farms outside of our own. We are very hands on and always happy to do any sort of farm work. We all have experience with four wheelers (atvs) and moving sheep and cattle.

Hello,
We are a Cherry and Ruby, a married couple in our 30's who are traveling (I, Cherry am originally from Mount Eliza, Australia, Ruby is originally from California). We don't smoke, and only have the occasional glass of wine with a meal. We work from home, and if we pop out to the shops, there will always be one of us that stays home at all times.

We are looking at settling down permanently in another area and thought what better way to figure out what area we want to settle in than house sitting. (We own a home in Leongatha, however we are wanting to relocate in the near future.)
We are also happy to share a studio sized space together, we have in the past and it is not an issue for us.
(Our daughter Phoebe and brother Michael used to house sit with us all over the world, they are not travelling with us presently. They are mentioned in some of our reviews/references on kiwihousesitters & TrustedHouseSitters.)


We have a lot of experience in various areas, whether it be animal care (horses, dogs, birds, cats, cows. Including special needs, eg: medical, rescues.) or gardening and farm work. I can even trim your horses feet and mow the lawns, perhaps not at the same time though haha.
I (Cherry) also owned and managed my own restaurant & cafe from 2007-2017.


* In our free time Ruby and l like to read, garden, draw, write and go for walks.

We are also very clean and tidy and we have all worked in the professional cleaning industry (domestic & commercial: from homes to 5 star hotels & apartments), so your home will be well cared for and maintained while you are away.

We have excellent references, adore all animals, big and small and we only returned from the US in may after travelling all over NZ and the US as well as the UK.
