Mature, experience, trust, peace of mind, privacy, reliable, animal lovers & old fashion ethics. Healthy, non smokers, avid book readers, who love animals, nature, peace & quiet, walking dogs. We have our own transport, mobile internet. Married, in our early sixties, no more mortgage, kids flown the nest, last pet passed on & no more working. We have lived in 3 states; last move was to Queensland to escape corporate life, live near the beach and to run our own business. After 14 yrs on Sunshine Coast, Queensland we have been there done that, and decided it is time for something completely different.. My husband (Chris) & I (Maria) are free to roam, and plan to spend several years getting around this great country, experiencing it's diversity and looking for that somewhere special, to eventually call home again, or perhaps not ! In considering our desire to travel around, our skills, our experience and the options; and having used house sitters ourselves, we decided becoming house sitters, was a wonderful way for us to go. We fully understand this special role and enjoy its uniqueness, adventure, benefits, responsibilities and the opportunity to perhaps share other peoples special pets. We have been house sitting for many years fulltime; we have done sits in QLD, TAS, VIC, NSW and even Kangaroo Island, ranging from a week on short notice, to mainly 3 to 4 weeks stays, one for several months duration, and several repeat stays. We have twice house sat for a whole 12 months. Majority of our house sit engagements have been through word of mouth referrals or repeat clients. We are very clean, reliable & trustworthy; we will look after everything and everyone, as if our own. And we will follow any routines, instructions and requests you give us, to the letter. As parents, proud home owners/renovators, gardeners & pet owners for over fifty years, we know personally a home owners thoughts, worries and expectations, in leaving your home and or pets etc, in the care of others. And any consumables etc we use (toilet paper/pantry/ fridge) we replace. Your peace of mind while away and your happiness on return is our primary concern. And as nature & animal lovers, our own pets have been many, great & small. We have had the usual dogs, cats, birds/an ,Aviary, plus guinea pigs, ducks, chickens, a lamb & more. We have also cared for very old & sick pets, including giving medicines, tablets and injections. Our Priorities while you are away are: security of your property, we are contactable 24/7 by mobile, email, SMS & Whatsapp, your assured privacy; care & affection for your pets, cleanliness & care of your home, care of your possessions, lawns & gardens, minimising electricity & water use; and doing our job so well, that you will hopefully want us as friends. Excellent references, photo and Police check available on request.
