Hi,
We are Chris and Baerbel. A retired couple from Christchurch, New Zealand
Three years ago we made the decision to try housesitting and have not looked back.
We can honestly say that each and every housesit is unique in its own way, and hugely rewarding. We have met wonderful people, and made friends ( furry and human ) along the way, its often a bit sad when we leave...

We enjoyed exploring NZ , thinking " don't leave town before you see the country". But now it’s time to check out our Australian neighbours and what a great way to do it.
We bring a wealth of experience.We have looked after a diverse range of animals, including many different bird,dog and cat breeds ( rescued, young, old, shy, cuddly, big, and small ) also farm animals,horses sheep cows, fowl, you name it
( not sure if we are that keen on looking after a pet croc however ) LOL :-)
Every animal is unique and we take your instructions seriously and keep to specific routines eg medication, grooming, feeding, walking etc
We are homeowners ourselves, active, non smoking, houeproud and handy, Lawns, plants etc given our best TLC.

5 stars. “I would give 10 stars! From the moment of first contact to the end of their stay, Chris & Baerbel were extremely professional. Not having used housesitters before, going away for 6.5 weeks had me quite worried, as our dogs are not tiny lapdogs but strong characters with their own quirks. However, no need to worry - Chris & Baerbel visited a few days before we left and took the dogs on a walk as we followed. The dogs didn't even turn back once. Chris & Baerbel had their own checklist to ensure they knew everything they needed to know. The house was tidy as, all the washing done, garden rubbish that we had left behind from a tree felling was cleared, all the bins were clean and empty, in short: perfect, couldn't have asked for more! We would love to have them back for any future tips! “

5 stars. Baerbel & Chris are dream house/pet sitters. Communication was prompt. Chris even delivered us to the airport for an early morning flight. They sent us frequent updates & photos. Our smallest dog needed an allergy injection & Baerbel got this organised promptly at the vet's busy holiday period. We came home to happy dogs, a wonderfully clean house, sheets & towels washed, bed changed, & lawns mown. I could not recommend them more highly & I hope we get the chance to have them here again. “

This is our first housesitting experience and we were a bit nervous leaving our cat and dog for so long with unfamiliar people, but Chris and Baerbel made the process really easy. Baerbel & Chris did a wonderful job of caring and grooming our 2 big dogs and looking after our house for 4 weeks. We had a tree down during a storm and Chris chopped it all up and fixed our fence. He also did a couple of repairs around the place which I am still discovering, a very handy guy. The house and property was left immaculate and our dogs were very happy. Thank you guys.
