  • Grew up on a large cattle station until my teens then spent 40 years living and working in cities but still doing part time work on family cattle stations and also fruit growing farms all within the.central Queensland area. Can operate machinery from lawn trimmers to tractors and start pumps and clean troughs. Would consider paid maintenance as part of the sit just ask, but mostly just want relax and do small things.

Hi,
We are Athol and Deb, and we are looking forward to taking care of your home and animals.

I’m a fit and healthy 63 year old retiree and travel Australia full time with my wife Deb, and our small fur babies, Gabby and Izzy. I am relatively handy and knowledgeable and can put my hand to most anything or happy to just relax and binge a Netflix series.

We have been home owners for over 40 years and have owned six homes during that period and sold them in a better state than we purchased them. We now travel full time in our Motorhome with the puppies and we are fully self contained off grid campers, but power and water access is nice.

Our preference would be rural properties or large quiet suburban homes with room for our motorhome, car and our 2 small dogs. If you’re dubious about sitters having dogs we can keep our babies in the Motorhome, as we do when at Caravan Parks but so far, they’ve been relaxed around all animals they’ve met (after the initial excitement dies down).

We both love animals of all types and will happily care for the scaly friends to the feathered and furry friends or anything in between. We were wildlife carers in NQ and cared for all sorts of furry, feathered, fishy and scaly friends. You are assured that we will treat your animals as if they were ours and give them lots of cuddles if that’s what they like.

Athol and Deb were the amazing. They arrived the day before we were leaving and spent time with us feeding the animals and understanding how the property worked. They even asked us if there are and other jobs we would like done while we were away. Athol and Deb exceeded our expectations in every way. We can’t thank them enough. Athol and Deb stayed in contact before the sit and arrived on time the day we left. During our time away we were sent pictures of our girls which eased our minds to see they looked very chilled out with us leaving and very happy. The house was left spotless and the garden was well watered when we returned. Overall a fabulous couple to deal with and would not hesitate to have them pet sit again

Athol & Deb are a lovely couple who took wonderful care of our home and cats while we had a break away. Their 2 little dogs were sweet & left not a trace of their presence in the house or garden. We came home to a lovely clean & tidy home & look forward to having them back for another house sit at the end of the month. We were certainly lucky to find Athol and Deb and their two dogs to look after our Eddie (JRT). Excellent communication and liaison throughout the stay. Athol & Deb were fantastic, our dogs & house couldn't have been in better hands! Our two westies absolutely loved them & had a great time with their dogs too. We came home to a very well kept property & Athol had done so many jobs around the place, we almost didn't recognise it. They sent us photos & facetimed while we were away & could see how well cared for everything was. We'd definitely love to have them back to housesit for us next time we go away. We returned to a sparkling clean house and happy pets. They had even made lovely bouquets from the many flowers in the garden and had them sprinkled around the living room. They were beautiful! Athol went above and beyond and kindly cleaned the horse manure from the paddock. ( : They are lovely people and we would gladly have them house sit any time.

Athol and Deb looked after our pets, farm animals and home for 10 days and were absolutely fantastic. They came over prior to their sit date to meet us and go through everything, which was a huge relief for us.
