Hello! Craig and I are a couple of adventurous empty nesters ready to embrace this exciting new chapter in our lives. With our kids grown and thriving, we decided it was time to shake things up a bit. We both have successful careers, but I've recently scaled back to a part-time role, giving me the freedom to explore new passions and experiences. I work as the Director for ANZ at TIO International, a global marketing and consulting firm in the Orthodontic Industry. Our jobs allow us to work remotely, giving us the flexibility to live in new places. Pet owners love that we work from home as it means we can be really present with their pets in their homes.
Craig, my husband of 25 years, is a PhD astrophysicist at Geoscience Australia, and he’s also deeply committed to his volunteer work as a Deputy Captain for the Rural Fire Service. With over a decade of experience, he’s not only a skilled firefighter but also a Fire Behaviour Analyst and a Level 2 Planning Officer. His dedication to helping communities is truly inspiring, and it’s something we both value deeply.
We’ve always loved the outdoors and have spent many years working and traveling across Europe, South America, and the USA before our kids reached high school. Now, we’re excited to combine our love for travel with our love for animals. Our 12-year-old Beagle, Toby, is an important part of our family and will be joining us on our house-sitting adventures. Toby is well beyond his puppy years—he’s fully house-trained, calm, and past the stage of chewing or digging. He’s a gentle companion who loves a good nap and a leisurely walk. Toby also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, having lived harmoniously with a cat for many years before our daughter took her feline friend with her when she left home.
In my spare time, you’ll find me enjoying Pilates, yoga, hiking, or tending to my garden. We bring a sense of warmth, reliability, and a bit of adventure to every home we care for. We’re looking forward to meeting you and taking care of your home and pets as if they were our own.
Our experience with pets spans a wide range, from beloved cats and dogs to smaller companions like fish and guinea pigs, as well as farm animals including chickens, ducks, geese, horses, and sheep. Growing up on an organic produce farm, I developed a strong connection to nature and a natural green thumb, with a deep appreciation for sustainability. This background not only gives me a keen understanding of animal care but also equips me with the skills to maintain gardens and green spaces with care and attention.
For us, house and pet sitting is the perfect way to explore different areas of Australia, especially those close to the coast, as we search for the ideal place to eventually settle down. We love the idea of immersing ourselves in different communities without the long-term commitment, giving us the flexibility to experience life in various settings. What makes us great sitters is our genuine love for animals and the joy we get from spending time with them. It’s incredibly rewarding to care for other people’s pets, bringing us companionship and happiness without the full-time responsibility of having more pets ourselves. It’s also wonderful for our dog Toby, who enjoys the company of other pets just as much as we do. With our experience caring for our own pets and homes, you can trust that we will treat your pets and property with the utmost care and attention. We bring reliability, a steady presence, and a deep appreciation for the opportunity to take care of your furry family members while enjoying all the unique experiences each new location has to offer.
