I always had pets growing up (an assortment of reptiles, fish, and dogs). As an adult, my partner and I have had multiple cats including one cat with a complex medical condition that required special treatment and ongoing medical care. I prefer dogs and cats, but am happy to look after other small animals as well (+ light gardening duties).
