Seeking house sitters for our 3 bedroom home in Boronia, Vic over the Christmas period.

Our Girl:

Nelly is our beautiful 9 y/o rescue greyhound. She is outgoing, loving, and thoroughly enjoys being around people. Nelly especially loves pats and attention, and would be a lap dog if she got her way. Very much an 'inside' dog, and happily spends 90% of her time indoors.

Nelly is used to small 20-30min walk a couple of days a week and will happily have 'rest' days with no walk or just a short stroll to sniff the street. Especially when the weather is particularly cold or hot, we don't like her to be outside for long periods. Nelly walks well on the lead, but is strong when she wants to be. She can be reactive to other dogs and will bark/jump if they get too close so we keep her away from other dogs to make sure she is comfortable and feeling safe.

Nel has a familiar schedule for food and is fed twice a day (around 7am and 6:30pm). She is pretty flexible, but will likely tell you if you are not running on time by pouting or being generally restless until food arrives.

As we work from home most of the time, Nelly is used to someone being in the house more often than not. In a typical week she is used being on her own 2 or 3 days (max 9hrs at a time), and for the odd hour or so here and there (grocery shopping, daycare pickup etc.). Best candidate for the sit will be someone who can also be home relatively regularly, and not be out late as we prefer she's not left on her own after 10pm.

Our home:

Our home is a single level 3 bed, 1 bathroom home, with a lovely outdoor patio and enclosed backyard. We have wifi (NBN), Netflix, Stan, Prime, Disney, Binge, Xbox, PS5, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, and coffee machine for your use. There is also a lock up garage, and space for a caravan off street (uncovered).

There is a kids playground 350m down the road with a lovely path to stroll through. There is also a great village with cafes, takeaways, IGA, and hardware store about 700m down the road which we walk to with Nelly. We have several large format shopping centres within a 15-20min driving radius. We are also about 30mins (traffic depending) from Chadstone if you want to get some serious shopping done.

There are bus and train public transport options within working distance of the house as well.
