Hello and welcome to our little slice of high country paradise.
We live off the grid and are mostly self sustainable. We are located 22 kms from Mansfield, 15 mins from Goughs bay, 10 mins to the river. We have about 70 acres with 41 fruit trees, 14 head of cattle with calf’s due in Dec, 9 chooks and guinea fowl and chicks due in spring of course and a beautiful pup who is 8 months old. We are heading away and need a house sitter to take care of things here on the farm and enjoy our surroundings. We have rivers near by to swim in, amazing walks and a big lake close by to enjoy. We have a villa for you to sleep in that is very comfortable, with cooling and we are off the grid so windows open from the afternoon when the breeze comes through. We have a kitchenette as well as a covered outdoor kitchen where you can enjoy and cook up whatever your hearts desire. We ask that our puppy gets walked daily a big one in the morning and played with through the day, she loves company and has a gorgeous nature, just don’t let her chase the chooks or the cows and keep her safe from snakes and blue tongues . Our irrigation is mostly automated and will show you how to transfer water from the tanks if it runs out. Life is pretty relaxed on the farm and very peaceful . Top up the chooks food and water every 3-4 days, count the cows and check on their calves. If you can picture yourself here, town is only 30 mins away please apply we hope to hear from you.
