We’re looking for a female pet sitter to look after our home and our gorgeous boy Rex.

Rex is a 10 year old American staffy who we foster. We’ve had him for 11 months now and he is the best boy!

Myself and my partner are going on a road trip in November and we would love to find someone who’d like to stay in our lovely 4 bedroom house with a big back yard and look after our fur baby.

As Rex is a foster dog he does have some special requirements. He has separation anxiety which means he can’t be left for long periods of time on his own. He is crate trained but can only be left alone for a short amount of time while you pop out to run errands or go shopping so we need someone who understands his needs and is happy to spend the time at home with him. He is also a little fearful of men due to his past experiences which is why we are looking for a female pet sitter to make him feel as comfortable as possible in the comfort of his own home.
We are looking for someone confident/competent with dealing with medium sized dogs as he is a strong boy and while he walks perfectly on the lead, he does try to pull if he sees another dog so we usually take a wider birth to give him the space he needs. He has never shown signs of aggression and he has lived with dogs previously but he requires slow introductions so we don’t interact with other dogs on our walks.

Rex is the best boy and will be your best friend during your stay here. He gives the best hugs and loves to cuddle up on the sofa under his blanket while you sit back and relax. He knows when it’s bed time and waits for you to tuck him in. He loves to play ball in the garden or tug of war and loves to sun bake aswell. He knows all basic Commands, will sit and wait for his food and does shake before his treats.

Our home is very spacious and has everything you might need during your stay. We have a queen sized bed in the guest room, access to 4 different streaming platforms which you can put your feet up and relax watching movies and a big back garden so you can relax in the sun if you prefer. Forbes is a lovely little country town with everything you need, shops and a beautiful lake to walk around.

So if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway where you can make a new best friend, go on walks around the lake together and cuddle up of an evening then this could be the place for you!
