Hi there!

TIME & LOCATION
We are looking for a sitter for the days advertised, as are travelling to Europe for the Christmas holidays. We are flexible to work with the dates where needed.

We live in a house with a beautiful backyard, within walking distance of Launceston CBD. There will be an off street parking spot for one car.

OUR PETS
We have a 3 year old male Border Collie cross (very active) and a 6.5 year old cat (very low maintenance). Both are inside pets.

We are looking for someone/a couple who has/have a lot of experience with dogs and is willing to spend a lot of time with our dog for walks, training, play and exercise. Our dog is well trained (crate trained etc.), goes for walks/beach trips at least twice per day, loves learning new tricks and loves other people and is friendly with most other dogs. He can be pretty full-on at first (being a border collie), but as long as he gets his play and exercise, he is the perfect house-dog. Recently, he has been a bit reactive with some other dogs.

I work from home, so our pup is used to having someone around 24/7, but he is also very independent and can be left on his own (inside the house) for up to 3hours.

We are looking for someone who is willing to maintain consistency in walking, training and feeding (not so much routine though). Our pup is on a raw diet, so you need to be willing to handle raw food (all meals will be pre-prepped for you though).

Our cat is very (very! :)) independent, and basically needs cuddles when he wants them and likes to sleep on the bed. He uses the (human) toilet, so no need to clean kitty litter.

THE HOUSE
The house is a very characteristic 3 bed 1 bath (built in 1880) house and very low maintenance. It has timber floors throughout the house. It does need a weekly clean, especially with the pets. The house is suitable for a single person or a couple, no families. No other dogs either (not because of our dog, but mainly for the cat).

There will be one off-street parking spot available for you.

ABOUT US
We are a couple, moved from NSW to Launceston in October 2023 and loving the area. We are easy-going, like to travel (taking our dog on camping trips) and love food and wine. We can recommend all the good places for you to visit whilst here :)

EXPECTATIONS
Having done housesits in the past myself, we are looking for like-minded people; taking care of our pets as if they are your own, leaving the house as it was handed over to you, being respectful of the neighbourhood and not breaking any rules.

We do not want travellers who only housesit because it is cheap.

We are looking for housesitters as we love the idea of our pets being able to stay in the comfort of their own home, and our house being looked after.
