Anstead QLD

Families welcome! We are looking for a housesitter for 4-ish weeks over Dec-Jan this year. We live on 2.5 acres in Anstead, an outer suburb of Brisbane about 20 kms from the city centre. There are walking trails nearby and the local cafe is about 400m walk from home.

Our home is a four bedroom, one bathroom + two separate toilets family home. We have a lovely newly renovated outdoor deck with BBQ which is great for meals and entertaining. The house has plenty of fans and gets great breezes as it is elevated. There are two powerful airconditioning units that are capable of cooling the whole house on a humid Brisbane day. There is a rowing machine that you may wish to use and a fireplace for winter.

The main bedroom contains a king size bed. There is a bunk bed in one of the kids rooms and a single bed in each of the other bedrooms. There is also a QS sofa bed in the sunroom.

We have two beautiful dogs who are very much part of our family and spend most of their time by our side. Bronson is an 8 year old golden retriever/labrador cross and Betty is a four year old mini groodle who thinks everybody should be her best friend. Our dogs are used to company and a busy home so we would prefer someone who is around a fair bit and it is essential you are here overnight, every night. They don't sleep with us however do wake us up every morning like clockwork.

We also have a bearded dragon and would be great to have a housesitter who is confident caring for beardies and/or willing to learn.

We don't watch a lot of tv/movies and don't have any streaming services available. There is a DVD and lots of DVDs available - old school! The internet is fast enough for working from home etc however can be patchy during wet weather.

The kitchen is well-equipped for all your cooking and baking needs and the oven is less than a year old.

While we would love you to potter around in our garden (weeding, mowing, watering etc) while you are here there will be no pressure to undertake extensive garden maintenance, we hardly ever get to it ourselves.
