We need a house sitter

Regional NSW - Central Tablelands

Lindsay

We live on a few acres just outside of Orange, and go to sleep to the sound of frogs and wake up to birdsong.

We have a delightful lab x kelpie cross, Dottie, who is 2. Dottie would love some walking and play time. She currently runs with me 3 times per week. We also have chooks to feed and collect eggs from (but they have an automatic door so are pretty easy). We have a few sheep, although they don't require attention. We will have some veggies and flowers to water via automatic drippers, and housesitters are also welcome to help themselves to the veg patch.

We have a spare room and bathroom within our home for house sitters to use.

We loved staying at Lindsay and Brian's home. We had a winter stay and it was so cosy and warm with plenty of firewood ready to go for us. The dogs were super friendly and loving....we missed them so much when we left. The home is lovely, very comfortable with every modern convenience, a comfy bed in the guest room and very quiet. They are very generous hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed on our stay. Being winter there was not much to do, aside from take ... MORE

KATHERINE & TOMYLEE (Jul 2024 - 1 week 2 nights)
We really enjoyed housesitting for Lindsay and Brian. They are super friendly hosts and good communicators who gave us thorough instructions on what needed to be done. The house is very comfortable. Peggy & Dottie are lovely dogs; we enjoyed getting to know them and spending time with them. It was a great taste of hobby farm life - collecting eggs, feeding the animals, picking fruit, veggies and flowers. We'd happily housesit again for Lindsay and Brian.

IRENE (Jan 2024 - 5 nights)
Lindsay & Brian have a beautiful property - we enjoyed the housesit as a relaxing farm stay over the summer break and enjoyed being in close proximity to wineries, hikes, Lake Canobolas and only a 10 minute drive into town. Peggy and Dot were great company and easy to look after - we would happily housesit again!

AIMI (Dec 2023 - 1 week)
Lindsay and Brian were great to communicate with, their acreage and property were lovely, their dogs were affectionate and so well behaved, and there is so much to see and do in Orange. Would love to sit for them again. Highly recommended.

HEATHER (Jan 2023 - 5 days)
Really enjoyed this pet sitting experience with Peggy, the chooks and sheep in a lovely historic comfortable home in beautiful Orange. A peaceful setting to spend time with animals and a chance to experience a hobby farm lifestyle. Peggy is a gentle friendly dog and great company. Communication with Lindsay was easy and straight forward. Would 100 percent recommend this pet sit opportunity.

JEN (Jun 2022 - 5 days)
Whow, this is what I called holidays! If you like to experience what a hobby farm life is like, have the most relaxing time surrounded by green and animals (sheep, hens, ducks, dog) this is definitely a place to house sit! Peggy is such an amazing dog, she will come up to you and place her head on your lap for a rub. She is one of those dogs that likes attention of people and activities with people. She loves going for walks or a jog (plenty of walks around) and run around in the garden while ... MORE

PAWEL (Jan 2022 - 1 week)
Lindsay and Brian were very friendly and accommodating. Very comfortable surrounding with a few enjoyable chores of looking after six chooks and Peggy, their very friendly dog. Would recommend or revisit if available.

BERNARD (Jul 2021 - 1 week 1 day)
I thoroughly enjoyed taking care of Lindsay's home, Peggy the dog, and the other animals. The home is a hobby farm in a lovely quiet area just outside of Orange, perfect to enjoy the area and get some downtime. The chickens, sheep and lambs do require some care, but nothing too hard, and they're a pleasure to look after. Lindsay was great in leaving plenty of information for me and taking my questions. I would happily return and recommend it highly.
