Hi we are looking for mature housesitters while we support family undergoing surgery. The beginning and end dates are flexible at this point and could be longer.
We have a comfortable air conditioned, modern home within walking distance to the beach, close to Mackay and an hour from Eungella National Park ( spot a platypus!) A remodelled kitchen is a joy to be in! Sadly our beautiful elderly golden retriever passed away last year so our only pets to look after are our 10 canaries in our outside aviary to feed and water. ( very low maintenance) We have grass cared for, so no mowing but we would need an occasional watering of plants particularly on our shade house that is sheltered from the rain. .Sorry , our sloping drive means there is nowhere for a caravan or motorhome dates can be little flexible apologies if we are slow to respond as we are travelling atm but we will get back to you! We thoroughly enjoyed being back at Elizabeth & George's home. Communication with them was great & we had all the information about the house & the local area we needed. We missed not having Molly this time but still enjoyed our daily walks to the beach. Lovely home in a great area. Thanks again Liz & George.
We really enjoyed our house sit here, lovely home with a great outdoor area in a quiet neighbourhood with a large park close by. Elizabeth and her husband were easy to communicate with and very responsive with clear guidance of what is expected. My wife and I were invited to stay over the previous night and enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal together. The canaries were easy to care for together with miminal garden watering. We had a wonderful stay at Elizabeth and George's home.
Very clean and comfortable home, close to everything and somewhere to park our car undercover.
Liz and George where extremely easy to communication with and left comprehensive instructions on how and where to find things.
We enjoyed the area and Blacks
Beach was lovely to walk along.
All in all this was a 5 star sit and yes we would happily sit for them again.

Our experience house sitting for George and Liz was exceptional. They graciously picked us up from the airport, & their warmth & hospitality were evident. The house itself was clean & comfortable, and George and Liz went out of their way to make us feel at home, providing a thorough tour & invaluable information about the area. We enjoyed our house sit for Liz and George, especially listening to the melodic songs from the canaries. Their home is spacious, in a quiet neighbourhood, low maintenance and easy to look after. Everything worked well. Very comfortable home to housesit.
Communication was really good and following instructions was simple. Nice quiet neighbourhood near the beach. Highly recommended to future housesitters.
During our stay in Mackay, we had the opportunity to house sit Liz & George’s spacious house for one and half week. Our responsibilities included taking care of a chicken and watering the plants every few days.
The house featured a well-equipped kitchen with all the necessary amenities. We also had access to a TV with Netflix & co.

Liz and George were most communicative and accommodating when making arrangements for this housesit. They had prepared the house and garden for our arrival and had left a folder with all required instructions for our information - even tourist suggestions and brochures!!!
Their home is modern and comfortable and it was a pleasure to stay there. It really was a relaxing stay.

It was a pleasure to house sit for Liz and George and to look after their aging chook. We enjoyed discovering the area and our stay.
We had a great time at Liz and George's house. It was a short walk to the beach where we went most days as well as having a great day in Eungella National Park which was about 90 mins away. They have a lovely house with beautiful gardens to relax in after a day of exploring.. Thanks for having us Liz and George
It was such a pleasure to house sit at Elizabeth's. The house and gardens are a beautiful and the chickens are a delight, and easy to care for.
Their place is also close to a beach which is nice to walk along.
Liz and George were very thoughtful with a meal ready for us after our very long drive. We engaged in pleasant conversation and found we had interests in common and we were soon made to feel welcome. Liz left us with comprehensive notes so we were left in no doubt regarding any aspect of the sit.

We made the most of the location and got to visit the local attractions; even tho she was old and on medication Molly was easy enough to care for as were the chooks that supplied lovely fresh eggs. Thankyou Liz and George for the opportunity.
A very comfortable home a very welcoming couple and a lovely dog made this a very enjoyable sit.we had a meal and a natter with them and George and I both being of Scottish heritage lapsed into Glaswegian language which no one else understood. Molly was a delight to look after and chickens provided us with fresh eggs. if you are looking for a place to chill out close to the beach,corner store and bus route then this could be the one for you.
It was a pleasure to house sit for Liz and to look after a Lovely Molly the retriever. It was like helping a friend out, the welcome was lovely and Liz was so helpful providing information and suggestions on things to see and do. The location was ideal and close to the beach and great walks. I thoroughly enjoyed comparing experiences with Liz about the places we have both been too. With lots in common, it was a very pleasant time and I can only hope my future home owners are as delightful as Liz
Liz and George are wonderful, gracious hosts, everything that could be done to make our housesit pleasurable and easy, was done. The house and grounds are easily maintained and delightful to live in. Molly the Golden Retriever is lovely to have around and easily pleased. We have had a thoroughly relaxing time and recommend this housesit to all, we would sit for Liz and George in a heartbeat. We enjoyed our time at Elizabeth & George's home! Molly the dog was easy to look after and super friendly. It was great to be able to walk Molly to the beach which is not far away. Liz was great to communicate with! Being new to Mackay and in the process of job hunting we appreciated the opportunity to house sit and get to know the Blacks Beach area as a potential place to settle.
We enjoyed our evening together before George & Elizabeth departed for their holiday. It was a real pleasure looking after their pets especially walking the dogs on the beach each day. We would be happy to house sit again if required .
Great to HS for Liz & George. Spent a couple of enjoyable evenings with them. The time filled a window of opportunity between two longer sits. The pooches were a pleasure to mind & they will be missed. Hope to catch up in the future if able to do so.
We enjoyed George & Elizabeth's comfy house in Black's Beach & especially the breezes & a/c. We were visiting my mother who doesn't have a/c in her house. The dogs were quiet & well behaved (except at feeding time) when they were a bit rambunctious. However it was fun walking them.
We had a wonderful 2 month sit, Elizabeth and George were gracious and fine hosts, the house and grounds were low maintenance and Molly the dog was a great beach companion, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay; thanks again Liz and George for letting us enjoy Blacks Beach.
