We need a house sitter

Sydney - Sutherland

Janine

Hello Large Dog Lovers,

I am looking for someone to petsit our fur baby Jr. from 19 Dec 2024 to 10 Jan 2025 at our home in the Sutherland Shire, more specifically Bangor. Free accommodation in a beautiful part of Sydney near plenty of bush walks in exchange for caring for Jr. and watering plants/front lawn.
We are an 8-minute walk to the local shops including restaurants, take away and a pub and 19 min drive to our local beach, Cronulla. We are also a 5-minute walk to the bus stop and a 5-minute drive to Sutherland station.
Our 3-bedroom home is two story, tidy and very welcoming. We have wifi, netflix, balconies, a fire pit, dishwasher, ducted aircon, BBQs and a lovely backyard. Jr. sleeps on our bed in the master bedroom alone but we have another room available with a very comfortable double bed.

Now for the most important part, Jr. is a 4-year-old, 51kg Rottweiler who thinks he's a lap dog at times. We have two young children who he loves and plays with everyday. Unfortunately, he has been attacked by off leash dogs while we were walking him on a lead 3 times. As he can sometimes now be reactive due to these experiences, we tend to cross the road when walking to never put him in a bad situation and avoid others. He is as loyal and loving as they come but still a Rottie at the same time who is protective of his family, so we need someone with large dog experience, preferably Rottweiler experience. Someone who previously had a Rottweiler is a PLUS!

Jr. is a character and has gotten so use to a daily, minimum 45-minute walk and therefore does not poo in our backyard. He holds it until he goes for a walk so the right person must be able to walk him everyday. After one daily walk, he is very laid back, so we always recommend walking him in the morning if possible.

If you feel you would be a suitable person/couple to look after our boy, I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you!
Janine
