Anne was really kind and helpful. She showed us everything we needed to know to take care of all the animals and to stay comfortably in the house. The pets were all friendly and well behaved and feeding the horses was easy to do. We were only there for a few days but we enjoyed looking after all the pets, they all have their own personalities. Don't be alarmed if the dogs are all lined up waiting for your arrival down the driveway, they're all big softies!

CHLOE & CHRIS (Jul 2024 - 3 nights)
Anne took the time to explain everything to us in detail and had also prepared written instructions so everything was very clear. The house is cosy and fire heated, the kitchen has everything you need. Closest supermarket is a 15 minute drive, but Anne graciously offered us to use what we needed from her stock. Anne's kids also kindly offered our boys a few of their toys to play with. Taking care of the animals was a breeze. They are all very well-behaved. Little (not so little anymore ;) was a ... MORE

SAïD & SASKIA (Jun 2024 - 6 nights)
Anne's home and animals were a pleasure to look after. Quaint and I spent our time tending to horses, chickens, dogs, cats, a sheep, walking a lovely property and exploring the wonderful region in which Anne's property is located. We'd love to return if there's a possibility again. Many thanks to Anne and her family for entrusting us with her animals and home to care for.

ANDREA (Jan 2023 - 2 weeks 4 days)
Taking care of Ann's animals was delightful. They are well loved by her and her children and it shows in their behaviour. Even the chooks are friendly. All of them were a pleasure to be around and our children felt very comfortable too. It was fun to experience country living in her beautiful home and felt grateful to be able to eat straight from the veggie garden, Communication was easy as we had a relaxing farm stay together.

AMANDA (Apr 2021 - 2 weeks)
Anne was great to get on with & so easy going. The chooks were very sociable and gave lovely fresh eggs. They were even quite obedient when it was time to put them in their coop for the night. The dogs were so faithful - just followed me everywhere and responded well to instructions.

KEV (Jan 2020 - 4 days)
Anne's communication was spot on and made our family feel welcome. Ziggy was a bit jumpy, but certainly manageable. All pets made a great "child friendly" environment. The children loved feeding the chooks and collecting the eggs. Thanks Anne and children.

NATALIE (Oct 2019 - 8 days)
Anne was a perfect host. We met before the house sit, where we all meet her fur babies and ran through the dos and donts with most things. Whilst away, we did have a few hiccups but nothing a few friendly texts couldnt fix. Anne was easy to speak which calmed our nerves. The property and views were beautiful and relaxing and defiently understand why she lives there. Anne went out of her way to make this house sit as easy as she could, and i do hope we also did this.

LEICIA (Jun 2019 - 14 days)

JOY (Jan 2019 - 4 days)
Anne is a wonderful woman with wonderful kids and animals. We had a wonderful time while staying at her house. If we had the time, we would come again and again!! Dear Anne, we miss you, the kids and the animals a lot and wish you all the best!

SARA (Nov 2018 - 5 days)
Fiskville (10mins to Ballan and highway, 25mins to Ballarat, north of Geelong, south of Daylesford) was a lovely place for a long weekend. Night skies, views of rain coming over and amazing sunsets. A great location to stay in or venture out - I found spots about which I'd never heard. Anne's menagerie were delightful fun and each one was interesting to get to know. The property is distant enough from others to enjoy peace but not isolated. A warm home and a warm welcome. I appreciated your ... MORE
