Moorooka QLD

Our two bedroom, one bathroom first floor unit, with one cats (Rosie) need low maintenance looking after while we visit family interstate. We have one queen bed set up in one room and an office that you can connect your laptop to easily via USB-C dock in the other as I work from home full time. We have decent wifi.

Rosie has asthma and requires an asthma puffer in the morning and night. She is very well trained to take this puffer (using a paediatric spacer) and will jump up on her cat scratcher for it. We have another cat, Royce, but Rosie and Royce don’t really get along unfortunately so we keep them in separate rooms and rotate them between these rooms each night. For this time away, we’re looking to have Royce go and live with my parents so you only have Rosie to look after :)

There are a few pot plants on the balcony that need watering and to check the mail once or twice when we’re gone.

Rosie is an independent woman who likes to be brushed. She is terrified of storms and will curl up under your feet when they happen.

Moorooka is only 15 or so minutes to the city by train, and there is a train station only a few hundred meters away (a very short walk - one song from your Spotify list) but far enough away you can’t hear it. If trains aren’t your thing, there are also frequent buses. There is delicious Thai, Ethiopian and Brazilian pizza all a few minutes within driving distance, not to mention 4 breweries all within 3kms or less. It’s also close to the gorgeous Rocklea markets that happen every Saturday and have delicious food and groceries.

We live in a small unit block of 6, and all the neighbours know one another. We’re the unit block that borrows oil and sugar and signs for each others packages. We’re hoping to find someone interested in looking after our place like it is their own and being respectful of our neighbours - no parties.
