Hi there, we are looking for a dog lover to house sit and take care of our two miniature poodles (7 & 9 years old) for a week in April 2025. Jack and Lucy are indoor dogs but use a doggy door to take themselves outside. They are very friendly and need to be walked daily (though they'll try to walk you!). We live in a safe peaceful neighbourhood and are close to parks, walking tracks, cafes, supermarkets, shopping centres and a bus stop. Only a 10 minute drive from the Wynnum/Manly waterfront.
I had the best time in Wakerley with Jack and Lucy. The two of them are super cute and just melted my heart. We loved going for long walks and snuggles on the couch watching Netflix. The house is great providing all you need and Kathryn was lovely to deal with.
I absolutely loved it here and would come back anytime.

I had a wonderful time housesitting for Kathryn; including looking after her family's two fur babies Jack Evans and Lucy Belle. Kathryn's communication was clear. I appreciated the detailed house instructions she provided ahead of the housesit, they helped me feel confident I was meeting her expectations and giving her dogs the right kind of care for them. I enjoyed housesitting for Kathryn in Wakerley and looking after Jack and Lucy. Jack was very friendly and sociable and liked being close by inside. Lucy was a little more reserved, sweet and gentle but warmed up pretty quickly. They both loved a walk around the neighbourhood and were great company during my stay. I would be more than happy to look after Jack and Lucy again if the opportunity arose.
Kathryn is a lovely homeowner and went through detailed handover for me with her 2 dogs - who are absolutely gorgeous to live with, I endjoyed walks & cuddles & kisses with them every day. They are well behaved and lots of fun. Can definitely recommend this housesit!
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
