Hi and thank you for your interest. I live on 5 acres in Greenbank, about 40 minutes south of Brisbane city and about 50 minutes north of the Gold Coast. I live here in a 3 bedroom home which has Amazon Prime but no free to air TV, aircon and heating, a fireplace, unlimited NBN Wifi, and an endless amount of books to read.
All of my animals are outdoor only apart from one of the dogs who sleeps inside at night. My dogs are large and super friendly and well trained.
I have a lot of chickens as I am a heritage breeder and trying to help save some of these breeds from extinction worldwide.
I also have 2 sheep, a calf and two piglets.
It takes about an hour and a half per day to feed all the animals in the morning and make sure everyone has water. For a newbie this may initially take a little bit longer but the routine is easy. I have a quad bike to take the feed around in to make the process quick and comfortable. Other than that, the day is yours as you please and you are free to come and go.
I'm looking for a person or a couple who has a sense of responsibility and will make sure all my animals are safe, fed and watered. Unfortunately my farm is not suitable for children. I have friends who know their way around so if you have any kind of emergency, you have support close by. I will be in Adelaide at a conference so I’m happy to take calls or emails if you get stuck. I like for Housesitters to arrive the day before I leave so I can show you the routine. Please feel free to message me if you have questions.

Viv was absolutely lovely and communicated exceptionally well. The chooks and animals were easy to look after, the work was easy to complete each day and we chose to do a couple of extra things to help out. The dogs were adorable to have around and again, well trained and easy to look after. We thoroughly enjoyed house sitting for Viv and would do so again without question. Thanks Viv for having us and also for the very kind gift as we left.

Vivien is a warm, friendly and generous host with a magnificent and much loved collection of domestic and farm animals. The tiniest of newborn chicks right up to Sean Sean Sean the Shetland sheep and a trillion fowls are all meticulously guarded over by her beautifully natured dogs. The day does begin early but the magnificent sunset in the evening and being surrounded by beautiful animals make this house-sit a thoroughly rewarding and enjoyable experience

We had the pleasure of sitting for Vivien and the 'Eggpire' until February 2020 when we loved the area and community so much that we bought our own house there. Vivien was a thoughtful, friendly, easy-going, generous host who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy in our role. Indeed, she has become a dear and trusted friend. Me and my daughter enjoined our house sitting in the Viv's house. Their three dogs are so cute and loves the cuddles and playing around. We did our job in the morning like 1-2 hours and then we just admired the place and all around. We met Viv and spent a bit time with her.
