Hello,
My hubby and I (and 2 kids) are looking for a house and pet sitter to take care of our home, our dog Milo and 4 suburban chooks for 3 weeks during Christmas, new year and January.
We live in beautiful Canberra with lovely walks and Brindabella views practically on our doorstep. This sit might suit someone visiting family in Canberra for the Christmas period.
Our dog Milo is a Spookalier (a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Cocker Spaniel and Toy Poodle). He's an inside dog with access to the backyard via a doggy door. Our chickens need minimal care - let them out into the run during the day and lock up at night, collect and enjoy their beautiful fresh eggs.
Our garden is still getting established so will require some watering.
We also have a heated magnesium plunge pool - perfect for those summer days and nights.
We'll be leaving on either Friday 20 Dec or Saturday 21 Dec (TBC), and returning Tuesday 14 Jan.

I had the absolute pleasure of pet sitting for Milo, and I can't say enough wonderful things about him! Milo is a true people person. Whether I was lounging on the couch or cleaning my teeth, he always found a way to be right by my side.
The home itself was equally delightful. I also made a giant, delicious frittata from all the eggs from the chickens. It was a great sit and I would happily do it again.
We thoroughly enjoyed house and pet sitting for Alyce and Rob. We had communicated by text and phone call before the sit and by text during the sit. We were warm and cosy in Canberra’s winter weather.
Milo is a well behaved and affectionate dog who loves a cuddle. The chooks were easy to care for and produced eggs daily.
We would gladly sit for Alyce and Rob again.
Alyce and Rob have a delightful, cosy home in a very quiet area that affords easy access to a shopping facility and a large nature reserve with ponds. It is also a short trip to large retail centres such as Belconnen and the city and Canberra's focal points.
Milo and the hens are very well behaved and low maintenance.
Alyce and Rob are responsive and easy to commuicate with.
Had a lovely 4 day stay at Alyce and Rob’s beautiful home with their cute pup Milo. Their home is very comfortable, supermarket around the corner, communication was great and everything went smooth. Highly recommend this sit.
We spent 5 amazing days at Alyse and Rob's house with Milo! He is such a great dog. He loves cuddles and we love to give cuddles so we were great team. He is a perfect boy, and despite he is a young dog, he behaved very good. (We took him for a walk every day and he was perfect). He is very friendly and cheerful. We love him.
Look after the chicken was easy, we just had to leave them free during the day and put them in their cage during the night.

Alyce & Rob are a friendly couple and their lovely home was left clean & tidy for our arrival. Their dog Milo is super friendly & wanted to be best friends. Being around 1yro, Milo still has his playful puppy personality & was very excitable, so we ensured we spent time each day to give him lots of love & activities. He’s great at playing fetch! Milo was quite vocal to the sounds of people/dogs nearby. To avoid distractions, we found it easier to walk him outside of the residential streets. ... MORE
We had a wonderful weekend in Canberra! The house and garden were amazing and the doggies Mitzie and Bailey were really easy to take care of. The chooks in the garden gave really yummie eggs and only needed to be locked in at night and let out in the mornings.
The communication with Alyce and Rob was quick and easy!
