We need a house sitter

South Eastern - Toowoomba & South Eastern

Kate

This house-sit best suits a couple. We will be leaving for holiday very early on Monday 16th Dec and arriving back late in the afternoon or evening on Sunday 12th January.
We live in a lovely quiet peaceful 'mountain lodge' with beautiful views on the Toowoomba escarpment. We have 2 lovely dogs, a cat, chooks and fish. Enjoy sitting on the deck over-looking the valley below - you may even see a koala in the trees. We have a lovely spacious studio granny flat with a queen size bed, bathroom and kitchen. This will be your accommodation. However, you will have access to the main house to feed the fish (large fish tank). We also have a magnesium pool where you can cool off (requires minimal care).
We will be overseas, but we are in a lovely friendly neighbourhood, who know us and our house well, and can be called upon if any (unlikely) problems.
As we are away for 4 weeks, the grass may need mowing once (we have a ride-on). Pots plants will need watering a few times, and perhaps garden plants, depending on rain.
We are 9 minutes drive from the centre of Toowoomba. 2km from Middle Ridge golf course, 3 km from a general store, 5 km from a shopping centre.
The house-sit position is best suited to a couple as the house is a bit isolated (neighbours not too far away but not in sight of the house).
We prefer to take house-sitters who are not from the local area (due to past experience - reports that our house has become a place for social gatherings with the house-sitters' local friends).

Kate, Joerg and their 3 loverly children have an amazing home with a very cosy granny flat attached, all located on a large block close to Toowoomba which offers unsurpassed views – their piece of paradise is simply stunning. Their recue dogs Chloe & Ally loved company and were super easy to care for, as were the fish & guinea pigs. Kate communicated very well whilst they travelled, and we would be thrilled to house sit for this delightful family again in the future.

We really enjoyed sitting for Kate, Joerg and family. Loved the dogs, Cloe and Ava, and the chooks and fish. Kate was very open and left clear instructions. We would sit for them again if in Queensland.

Looking after Kate's lovely home and animals was such a pleasure. The doggos and cat were very cuddly and well behaved and the chickens gave us a few eggs during our stay. The view was amazing! Daniel and I enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on a deck overlooking the valley below. Kate was very easy to communicate with and made sure we were ok over the few days. We loved every minute of this house sit and would welcome the opportunity to do it all over again.
