How about a getaway to the Bellarine???
I live in a 3 bedroom corner block house with 2 young dogs: almost 3 year old mini black/tan dachshund (Pippi) and almost 2.5 year old orange roan cocker spaniel (Mabel). One of the 3 bedrooms is a guest room with QB and you will have use of the main bathroom. You will have free rein of the house including access to all the obvious mod cons: heating/cooling, wifi, fully functioning kitchen, washing machine etc. The main thing I require is time and care given to the dogs. As a pair they can be time-consuming at different times. Mabel runs on high nervous cocker energy, and Pippi is mostly quiet and mischievous! Alternating between daily walks and dog games helps take the edge off them.
PS. The gardening required is a daily poo patrol and collection and a handful of pot plants! PPS - The Bellaraine peninsula is a foodie and wine haven if this is your kind of 'sport'! :)
