Crescent Head NSW

Hello! My husband and I live on acreage near Crescent Head. We love the rural lifestyle, especially as it's a great place for our dogs. Unfortunately we need to travel away from Crescent Head each week for work, and that's why we need a house sitter!

As our property is rural and located at the end of a 6km dirt road you will need your own vehicle as there is no public transport nearby. We are about 18km from the village of Crescent Head.

A sitter is required for our two dogs - Barney and Oscar.

Barney is a 4-year-old German Shephard Golden Retriever cross. We've had him since he was 12 weeks old. While he's big and black he's a very friendly and playful dog who loves hanging out with people. His best buddy is Oscar.

Oscar is a 2-year-old German Shephard Golden Retriever cross. We've had him since he was 12 weeks old. He looks like a German Shepherd with big floppy ears. He's energetic and adventurous and also loves a cuddle on the lounge. His best buddy is Barney.

Barney and Oscar are the best of friends. They play together all day, sleep next to each other and look out for each other. You don't have to walk them as they will run around on the fully-fenced property.

As we are away during the week for work we return home most weekends. We therefore provide a fully furnished cabin for the exclusive use by the house sitter. The cabin is small and has a separate bedroom (with queen bed) and is therefore ideal for a single traveler or a couple.

The dogs will stay with you at the cabin while we are away for work. Ideally, they stay with us when we return for a night or two. When we are home you are free to explore the area which includes amazing surf beaches and lovely national parks.

There is a large shed near the cabin where a caravan, camper trailer or minivan can be parked undercover. This house sit is ideal for someone travelling around in a van who would like to have a bit more space for a few weeks. The cabin has Starlink wifi, a full size oven and fridge, microwave, large shower with double showerhead and 2 smart TVs for streaming. A large washing machine is also available in the nearby shed.

We live in a separate house on this property and while we may need you to check on our place occasionally, you will have your own private accommodation for the duration of the sit.

There is a third dwelling on the property which is leased out as a short stay on Airbnb. This dwelling is set up for families with dogs and there will be guests during the house sit. The properties are all separated with fences, however it’s important to keep Barney and Oscar away from the guests (which is easily done). When the Airbnb is vacant you are welcome to use the pool and tennis court with the Airbnb yard.

During your stay we will return home for a day or two before returning to Sydney. If you want us to we can stop by to check that everything is OK and you have enough dog food etc. Otherwise you won't see us and we stay in a separate house.

I am flexible with the duration, which may be longer if that suits you better. If this sounds like an arrangement that would suit you, please send me a message and we'll go from there.
