Our home has a guest room and main bathroom available for use, but our bedroom and our son's room could be used if more space is needed, just let us know.
We have a 5 year old male cat (Leo). He's flea/worm treated, vaccinated and desexed. We let him outdoors from around 8am and then bring him back inside from around 5pm.
Leo is a friendly cat and visits a few of our neighbours who happily let him in their homes. We have a cat door in the laundry where he comes and goes through the day. Please open the back laundry door around 8am to give him access to the cat door. We usually coerce him inside for dinner around 5pm and close the back door. He has a satchel of wet food for breakfast + dinner and we leave his dry food out for the day/night with his water. The wet food satchels are single serve and are kept in the laundry.
At night we set the alarm for the downstairs area but it's pet friendly so Leo can still roam around and use his kitty litter in the main upstairs bathroom. Leo usually sleeps with us so we leave our door ajar and he can come and go. He sleeps right through the night on either our bed or the window ledge.
Please check/clear the litter daily. As he's mostly outdoors, there isn't usually much in there. We use clumping litter, so there is no smell and it creates a layer over his deposits, so it's not too nasty.
We don't give him milk as he gets an upset belly from it and then the litter will get interesting for you!
We sometimes give him leftovers, but he's a fussy eater. You can offer cooked meat/fish without bones if you like. He'll harass you when you're unpacking groceries and cooking, and he'll even try to jump on the table/counter. We probably haven't done a good job in discouraging this, so you may need to move him out of the way. He's over the toy phase and will interact with you on his own conditions, sometimes a rolled up foil ball gets him going.
The garden is small, maybe the front hedges could need a watering if it doesn't rain. The porch & indoor plants don't require much water.
The bins need to go out Thursday nights for early Friday morning collection. The letterbox is locked so no need to collect the mail.
