We need a house sitter

Adelaide - North & North East Suburbs

Mary

My husband and I have a 4-bedroom house, office, family room, kitchen, laundry set on 2.5 acres of land. It has internet wi-fi connection. We live in Gawler Belt and are about 7 minutes from the Gawler township where all shopping can be done. A further 7 minutes south is Evanston where you will find another good shopping complex. Our home is on a no through road. The home has ducted evaporative and split system aircon. It also has a combustion wood heater. We have a garden area around the home and a large driveway, sheds which store vehicles or equipment. There is an undercover pool. The house is all electric with solar as well. We are on mains water. There is a vegetable garden and small orchard, all of which has its own automatic watering system. The house is on a recycled greywater/blackwater (Biocycle) system. The property is all fenced. We recycle organic waste on site, and have a two-bin service for rubbish and recycling. Postal mail is not delivered to the house.
We have two ageing desexed Siamese cats. These cats are indoor cats. The elder male cat is partially blind. Both cats like routine, sunny windows and sleep a lot. They will miaow being Siamese, less with strangers about. They will come and sit on your lap once they get comfortable with you. The male is very friendly. The female a little shy. There is no medication required and all food requirements will be explained and is not complicated to prepare. They love BBQ chicken!
Garden care is only necessary in the summer months. The front garden area has an irrigation system which can be manually connected with a garden hose, perhaps once a week. A small amount of hand watering is needed for some plants that are not on irrigation systems but not too demanding. Watering the lawns is appreciated in summer and can be done once a week. The rear verandah area also has an automatic sprinkler system to water the pots.
