Our house is on acerage. Fifteen minutes from the local village. 40/45 minutes from Canberra, Queanbeyan or Cooma.
We have one cat, one dog, two chooks, four totally independent Guinea fowl, and two horses.
The house is very comfortable with all modern cons. A wood fire is lovely as the weather becomes cooler - plenty of wood supplied.
There is also air conditioning in the bedrooms and living areas as a back up.
Our dog and cat like to come inside in the evenings and settle in front of the fire, or near us, before going to their beds.
As the weather will be cooling off there may not be much to do in the garden, although the vegy patch might still be producing.
If it helps we can make a car available.
Although we are rural we do not feel isolated.
The back of our block is under a conservation agreement as we have protected birdlife. Lovely opportunity for walks and photographs.
