We’re looking for a reliable house sitter (individual, couple, or family) based locally to care for our home and much-loved British Shorthair, Winston (Winny), when we travel. Our usual sitter is no longer available, and with frequent trips planned, we’d love to find someone dependable to step in.
We’ll be away for two weeks over the Christmas period and would love your help during that time.
Our home is perfectly situated just a 5-minute walk from the beach and Currumbin Creek, surrounded by stunning walking tracks, great cafes, and restaurants. It’s a peaceful and convenient spot to enjoy while you take care of Winny.
Winny is an affectionate and playful British Shorthair who adores human company—on his terms, of course! He’s a champion napper but loves cuddles and playtime when he’s awake. Since we work from home, he’s used to having someone around most of the time, so ensuring he gets plenty of attention and interaction is our top priority.
Our home comes with some great perks, including a heated pool, paddleboards, boogie boards, bikes, and access to Netflix, Stan, and Amazon Prime—perfect for relaxing on rainy days.
If you’re a local animal lover with time and patience to dote on our beloved Winny, we’d love to hear from you! Regular photo and video updates are a must so we can see how he’s getting on while we’re away.

We had an amazing time looking after Royce & Winnie. The house was in a perfect location 5 mins from the beach. Erins pets are super cute and easy to look after. We had a very good house sitting experience! :)
Erin and Bree were lovely! They left clear instructions which makes the sit a lot easier as it saves guessing.
Their house is a lovely retro duplex with all the mod cons a sitter could need and close to the beach and shops.
Royce the pup is a total cutey, and fun to play with. Winston the beautiful Burmese also lovely and very low maintenance.
I enjoyed the sit thoroughly and would definitely do it again.

What a great location for a sit, so close to the beach and walking distance to both Miami and Burleigh shops. We met the houseowners prior to the sit and they were welcoming and friendly. Communication was good and instructions were left for us. Winston is a gorgeous cat and was easy to look after. The house is compact but the rooms were quite large so there is plenty of space. We didn't have to look after the garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach. Thanks Erin and Bree.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
