We are hoping to find a single person or a couple who would love to house/farm sit for us for six weeks in May - June 2025 while we are overseas. Our home is an award-winning home with stand-alone power, mod cons, good internet connectivity and a self-contained granny flat and plenty of room for a van. It’s just 20 minutes from town but it feels a world apart. We are a Land for Wildlife property and you might even enjoy adding to our growing 500+ list of native flora and fauna found on our property. You must love animals and some gardening skills would be useful. We have a few cattle, some chooks for eggs, a veggie patch and an orchard. Cattle will only require to be checked regularly to ensure they have water. Chooks are fed daily and allowed out in the afternoons. Garden requires minimal attention at this time of year (some watering, pruning, mowing as necessary).Our house is easy to live in and requires just normal maintenance. First priority will always be the health and happiness of our best buddy, Tuppy, our beautiful, spoilt and much-loved Cavvie who has at least one good walk each day and lots of cuddles. This sit will suit a couple or a single person who is happy to be at home most of the time. There is room for a van but we prefer Tuppy to have her normal routines. She will always want to be with you, so the house is a better option.
We have a self-contained flat for your use, and the house is also available for your use.
As we require a long sit, we need references and a police check and we would need to meet well in advance.
We are happy for you to arrive earlier and/or leave later than our required dates.
We have even had a sitter who stayed for an extra 2 months.
