We need a house sitter

Sydney - Upper North Shore

Kate

Hi. We have a well maintained, four bedroom house (three rooms with beds (2 queens & one single) and two studies. There are two living rooms, two bathrooms (both with showers). The house is all on one level with a largish front yard with parking for two cars (not under cover) and a small back garden and pool (which will have its winter cover on so doesn't require attention unless the house-sitter wants to use the pool and undertakes to look after it). There is a covered courtyard (Vergola) and a gas barbecue. The house has air-conditioning/heating in one of the living rooms (with TV) and in each bedroom and study. Inclusions - dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, fridge, oven, microwave, gas cook top, cordless (Dyson) vacuum cleaner, toaster, kettle etc. Internet and TV streaming services - Foxtel, Binge, Netflix, Amazon Prime, ABC Iview and SBS on Demand.

The suburb is lovely and its an easy 8 minute walk to the train station and local shops and cafes, and 20 minute walk to Chatswood Metro. The neighbours are great and the neighbourhood is safe and generally quiet. Chatswood shopping centres and Willoughby Harris Farm are 10 minutes away by car.

Our chocolate Labrador is an 11 year old female and very friendly and well trained. She doesn't get on the furniture, will obey you and doesn't bark. She has some issues with a bulging disc and so requires a tablet (for pain) in the morning after breakfast and a liquid anti-inflammatory medicine with her dinner. She sleeps quite a bit and only requires walking around the block once a day and the usual taking out on the verge every so often to do her business. She is a gorgeous dog and very very precious to us.

Because we are looking for someone in April-May we don't think much is required in terms of the garden other than watering the pot plants. In terms of the house we would expect it to be reasonably clean and tidy when we return - vacuumed, benchtops wiped down and bathrooms cleaned to a reasonable standard. Rooms that aren't used shouldn't need attention.

We think our home is lovely, very comfortable and conveniently located to public transport while being in a quiet street. We will be contactable while away if needed and also have an adult son in Sydney if something happens which requires on the ground assistance.

Thanks and looking forward to someone who will love our dog and home as much as we do.
