Housesitter/s wanted for our beach shack style house at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast. Short walk to the beach, shops ,restaurants and famous surf breaks at Currumbin Alley and Burleigh.
We have 2 dogs that need a a walk morning and night plus feeding and the garden may need a water but apart from that its come, stay and relax for a few days.
The dogs
- Ziggy who is a Great Dane 4years old He is energetic but good natured and friendly.
- Frida - a Great Dane who is around 2 years old - a very chilled character and her and Ziggy play well together
We would need to meet with you before the house sit, so we could introduce you to the house and dogs, and show you areas where the dogs can be taken for a walk.
Both the dogs are friendly, good natured, and walk well on a lead.
There are good dog walking spots in the area which makes it easier.

We absolutely loved looking after Frida and Ziggy and this beautiful house. Dogs are well behaved, walk nicely in leash and are very loveable. They were very good with our girls and girls loved to snuggle up with them at the couch. Location of the house was great near park and beaches. Thank you Steve!
Beautiful home of Steve, and his huge and adorable furry Great Dane children, we enjoyed every day with them, they were very funny at every moment, Also Steve was super kind to us from the first day and made us feel very happy and comfortable. Very happy with this experience and definitely highly recommended and hopefully we can return to his house in the future. ☺️
Being with Frida and Ziggi has been unforgettable, anyone who loves big dogs can have a WONDERFUL experience! They are well trained, affectionate and beautiful dogs.

Lainie and Steve, were great hosts.. Messages responded to within hours. Their house was comfortable and very clean. We were made to feel very welcome. Good instructions were left for care of the animals, and a variety of food left giving us good choices at meal times. There was very little garden maintenance as the yard is very self sustaining. Your fur babies are beautiful gentle giants, well behaved and your is home so close to beach shops, you both were very welcoming also loved the garden and the aspect from the house

If only we could stay longer! We thoroughly enjoyed our sit here. Ziggurat & Frida are the biggest gentlemen giants, easy to walk and chill around the house. Banjo is very easy to care for too. The house is in a great location, close to the beaches with a lovely beach shack feel. Hope we can come again and see our favourite dogs in Australia!
It was a delight to look after Steve and Lainie's 2 great danes and 1 small terrier. The dogs are very obedient and we all enjoyed our off-leash walks at the park and beach which are both only a 5-10min walk away. The area is very nice with cafes and restaurants nearby. Thank you Steve and Lainie for welcoming us into your home.

House location was great and a relaxing atmosphere.
Dogs were extremely friendly and easy to care for.
We had so much fun looking after the three boys - Ziggy the Great Dane, Banjo the Cairns terrier and a well mannered and gentle soul and Chadley Bucket a sweet and sprightly 14 yr old, with such a happy disposition.
The beach is a 10 minute walk and an off leash park only a minute away with an enjoyable walk around a beautiful lagoon.
Ziggy was wonderfully fun and surprisingly obedient for a young dog. He was gentle and loved his beach walks.

I had a great time house sitting for Steve. His three dogs were very easy to manage. His Great Dane Ziggy was such a beautifully natured dog and super affectionate! I really enjoyed my short stay at his beautiful beach shack. Steve was really down to earth and easy to get along with. Thanks for inviting me into your beautiful home!

It was such a treat to revisit Steve & his dogs, our last sit was eighteen months ago. Ziggy the Great Dane puppy is a delightful new member of the pack! A gentle giant and very obedient given his age. Banjo & Chadlee are very patient with him as he is learning the ropes! Dogs were an absolute pleasure to look after.
What an absolute pleasure looking after Steve's 3 very sweet and chilled out pups! The park for morning/evening walks is minutes away on foot and we so enjoyed cycling down to the beach. The location is perfect for access to the M1, shops, restaurants and everything we could want or need. We were so comfortable in Steve's 'beach shack' & would be happy to come back any time.
Three very friendly, well natured dogs who love their twice daily walks around the nearby lagoon. Steve is very friendly and relaxed and the house is comfortable and tastefully furnished with a great sunny front deck to chill on. Located in a quiet street about a 10 minute walk to the beach. I really enjoyed hanging out with all three dogs.
We had a great time living at Steve's house.... all four dogs were well behaved and fun to have around. Taking everyone out on our daily walks was a hoot with Hugo a real crowd stopper.

Steve's dogs are such a joy to care for. Yes four may sound like alot however Steve and Lainie were fantastic at communicating what their dogs required and what we were to expect as sitters. We enjoyed our time at Laguna immensely and hope to stay in touch.
