Mount Cotton QLD

We need house sitters for our 2 storey house in Mount Cotton and our gorgeous friendly and lovable 5 year old miniature schnauzer, Sophie. We will be away from Friday 1 to Friday 23 May - approx 3 weeks.
The house has a queen size bedroom downstairs with a two way bathroom so no stairs to climb. The upstairs is usually fenced off so Sophie does not wander up there as the house is large and more places for her to hide! Property is only 8 minutes drive to Redland Bay and the passenger ferry to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands.
Our house is located 100 metres to bushland with fantastic walks and a bike trail around the area as well as a 15 minute brisk walk to the famed Mount Cotton IGA as well as several cafes, pizza place and Billy's Backyard BBQ. We also have lots of services delivering to the area. But Victoria Point Lakeside is also a hop skip and jump by car or uber where you can visit the local movie theatre and restaurants along with KMart, Woolworths, Coles as well as other stores are in this vicinity. Logan Hyperdome is also a short drive away.
Our beautiful schnauzer loves her walks and will take you if you ask her. She does not like children but does tolerate our 8 year old grandson. House has a solar heated pool as well as wifi, several living areas downstairs and lots of entertaining space including a pool table and pinball machine. Also have access to Fox and other streaming services. Security alarm as well.
Must be a nonsmoking retired couple or someone who works from home as our dog is used to people around her. A single person is also welcome too if they are retired or they work from home. Ideally, you will live in northern NSW or South East Queensland because Sophie would like to meet you before hand.
Our neighbourhood is very friendly and bushy. We have a reserve at the bottom of our street. Wake up to bird calls in the morning.
There is also another house sitting assignment available at end of August 2025 for approx 2 weeks and another from 12 November to 6 December 2025. We would prefer to have one couple/person doing all.
PLEASE NOTE: No lawn mowing will be required as we have someone to come in once per week to maintain this.
