South Western Victoria - Ballarat

We live in Mount Helen, in a beautiful quiet location, 12 minutes drive to Ballarat Central. We are looking for a mature , retired couple, non smoking, who love animals..we have 2 very lovable, affectionate female cats, Millie, a beige snowshoes cat, and Dusty, a beige ragdoll. We also have a very friendly miniature dachshund who will be 4 years by these dates.The cats have a secure back yard they are free to wander in as is the dog. All the animals sleep inside in their beds.Winnie, our dachshund is extremely friendly, loves walks and to sit on your lap. Our home is a modern home on a 1/3 acre with easy to care for beautiful landscaped gardens. Required tasks are caring for our fur babies, watering our pots and garden when required ,maintaining an easy care home, mowing our small area of lawn and collecting mail. Our home is very comfortable, open plan with split system heating and cooling, and has 2 lovely decks with tranquil garden views. House sitters would be able to use our wifi and watch Netflix, Stan, etc on our smart tv's. House sitters have use of our lockup garage with entrance to the house and we have a separate caravan parking space if required onsite. Great walking tracks are on our doorstep. We are just 5-10 minutes to the shops. Easy access to tourist attractions including one of Victoria's most famous attractions Sovereign Hill. Enjoyable easily accessible country drives to Geelong, Daylesford, Trentham, Castlemaine, Kyneton, Buninyong, etc, to just name a few. You will find our home extremely clean and comfortable and thoroughly enjoy the surrounding areas.

Rod & Barry presented a clean, quality large home with an incredible formal garden and all the comforts needed to fully enjoy the property. Their fur family of Winnie, Milly & Dusty were very friendly & loving and took to us immediately. Winnie was always up for a walk or just a cuddle on our lap. Ballarat and surrounds offered a wealth of activities, fine food, an abundance of rich history and diverse attractions to fill our days. Recommend to all sitters. Greg & Marlene

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rod and Barry’s beautiful home at Mt Helen near Ballarat. We loved caring for their wonderful pets, Winnie, Dusty and Millie who were an absolute delight, Rod and Barry were great to deal with, very welcoming and always clear and prompt with their communications which made it easy to know what was required. Rod and Barry were so easy to get along with. They had everything prepared for us so nothing was a problem. Their 2 cats and Winnie the daschund were lovely pets to look after. The house is lovely in a beautiful treed suburb. Very quiet and peaceful. Would recommend this as a house sit.

We had a wonderful time at Rod and Barry's. Dusty and Millie are lovely and loving cats who enjoy a good cuddle and love their time outside. The home is very comfortable and well equipped with everything anyone could need. Strolling the garden and the neighbourhood was one of the highlights. Rod and Barry made every effort to make us comfortable and feeling at home, so much so we're going back in November.
