Hi,

We are looking for sitters to stay in our recently built home on 100ac in the Hunter Valley . Located 20mins from the vineyards, 30mins to Wollombi, 40mins to Newcastle and 2hrs to Sydney, there is plenty to see and do. Majority of the property is bushland giving a secluded feeling without being remote. The major town of Cessnock is only 15mins away and there are 2 pubs, a bowling club and 2 general stores within minutes of the front gate.

Duties will include looking after the Chickens, Guinea Fowl, Budgies, a cat, 4 dogs (3 Jack Russell's & a Kelpie) and 2 horses and 2 small ponies. We also have extensive vegie gardens we have just planted with an array of delicious tomato's, cucumber, lettuce, squash, peas, beans and much more. We encourage you to enjoy this on your stay along with the beautiful scenery right out the back door.

We would require our sitters be competent animal lovers with an attention to detail and able to handle an emergency situation should one arise. For example remove a hose stuck in a fence (fingers crossed as they are very quiet and sensible).

Not being an actual working farm gives our sitters the opportunity to spend the day at the beach or the vineyards without the commitment of labor intensive farm duties.

We built our home in 2019 and while we are still in the process of finishing the finer details such as landscaping and a couple of interior furnishings our home is very comfortable offering 4 bedrooms, extensive living spaces and large kitchen. There are also several areas to store vehicles out of the weather.

All we ask is that our animals are cared for and the house be left in clean, tidy and undamaged condition. There my be an option to bring your pet for the right sitters. Having 2 young children ourselves we are open to little people enjoying our farm.

Our extended family live locally so can attend any emergencies if needed.
