Hi there, we are after a housesitter(s) over mid May to end of June 2025 (tentatively, actual dates to be decided a bit closer to the time) to look after our two dogs, one a Wire-haired Pointer and the other a Saluki, named Wiley and Scout respectively. We have a comfortable house on 24 acres right on the River Murray approx half way between Waikerie and Morgan. The house solely runs on solar power and we use water from the river for domestic purposes, ie showers etc. Rainwater is available for drinking and clothes washing. The dogs are fed twice daily and are friendly and low maintenance although they adore human company. The gardens are low maintenance and little, other than a bit of watering, will be required. As the house operates on solar we are looking for someone who appreciates that not everything powered in the house needs to be turned on all at once. There is a backup generator however and we will explain the system to the successful sitter(s). This is a great opportunity to spend time in the Riverland in a comfortable house on the river's edge and close to other locations within the area like the Barossa Valley.
