We need a house sitter

Sydney - Blue Mountains

Ian

Hi,
My wife Kylyn & I will be taking our 3 kids on an extended holiday over summer. We live in a 4 bedroom house with amazing views into the Jamison Valley with a wood fired hot tub on the deck and National Park Walking Trails accessible from our back gate. We are looking for someone, or a couple to house sit while we are away.

Responsibilities

1 - We have a 3 year old Toy Poodle called 'Figgy' that we walk each day on a 2km local bush loop.
2 - We have 5 goats (10 minute drive away in Katoomba) that need visiting every second day.
3 - We will also need the lawn mowed and the edges done once a week. I have recently serviced both the mower and the whipper sniper so both will be easy to operate.
4 - We will have all of our pot plants clustered in 1 part of the garden so that they are easy to water once a week.
5 - Watering of 1 raised veggie bed if the weather is dry.
6 - If you intend to use the spa, it will need some upkeep to keep it clean.

You will have 1 uncovered car space off the street. There is also an off street park for a mid sized caravan or camper trailer if required.

We live in the middle of the amazing Blue Mountains World Heritage listed NP. The Upper Blue Mountains area is the second, or 3rd most visited area in Australia each year. It is a stunning place to come and visit. If you are into sightseeing, hiking, overnight camping, canyons, rock climbing, cafes or restaurants, this could be a fantastic 4 week get away.

Amazing! Would do it again for sure. The family was awesome and we stayed in contact all the time. Ian very helpful if we had any questions and gave us a lot of tips to visit the area. Little puppy figgy was the best dog we could get, very friendly and playful. We cuddle her and take her to several pet friendly walks, we even swam in a lake once! The area is also stunning, full of outdoor activities and breathtaking views, and close to Sydney too.

Well that was an interesting sit! We arrived around the same time as the NSW fires, and they hovered around threatening the Blue Mountains communities from just about every direction for the month or so that we were there. So we had some fairly tense moments, and some very smokey moments, and all the National Park was essentially closed ... but despite all this, we had a great time! The location is stunning, communication with Ian was excellent, the accommodation very comfortable, and we loved ... MORE
