We need a house sitter

Western - South Western

Ross n Leah

Our property is 8km's out of Texas Qld. It is a large acreage with plenty of bushwalking and sightseeing. Magnificent views of the valley below and the most beautiful star gazing.
Our home is a new home with all the mod cons.
Our two well behaved kelpies sometimes travel with us but for this sit they will be staying at home.
It would be great to find sitters who are interested in repeat sits.
Other chores include a bit of watering (Depending on the season) maybe some mowing and feeding two quiet horses. There are cattle on the property but they belong to someone else so no upkeep needed.
The Texas area is a popular fishing destination as well as many tourist attractions both locally and day tripping.

We had a great time in Texas looking after Ross and Leah's dogs, horses and chooks in their comfy home. Ross and Leah were very welcoming and it was a pleasure to meet them and enjoy their company. We explored the area, did some country drives (the silos were amazing!) and were welcomed home each time by enthusiastic pups. The property is fantastic, so peaceful and we enjoyed the afternoon sunsets as well as the stars at night! thanks for having us - and hope we catch up again, Graham ... MORE

To Whom, Ross & Leah are a very kind, generous and sociable couple in sharing their amazing home and property. Both our house sitting experiences for them have been wonderful. For starters, an expansive deck at front of the very appropriately named "Valley View" property, delivers some amazing sunrise spectacles for early risers. Each day begins and ends with a chat while feeding Jarlie and Holly the horses, plus one Rooster and 8 hens. Tiko has to be the best behaved intelligent dog ... MORE

We've house-sat for Leah & Ross twice now and would happily do it again. Tiko and Pebbles are so well behaved and a joy to look after. The house is lovely and the view spectacular. Leah and Ross are very easy to get along with and we will definitely call in to say hello whenever we are in the area. Absolutely 5 stars!

We had never been to Texas QLD before so did not know what to expect. What a pleasant surprise. Only a small town but the locals were just so welcoming and friendly. We didn't feel like strangers at all. The local only pub in town serves fantastic meals and staff super helpful. As for the owners of the house and property where we stayed, Leah and Ross, well we have found new friends. They are so awesome to deal with and hang out with as well.
