We need a house sitter

Sydney - St George

Avril

We're looking for someone reliable and caring to look after our dog and cat while we are away.

The dog is 14 but still youthful and very well natured and enjoys a daily stroll. The cat is fairly self-contained but might enjoy an evening cuddle.

Ideally, you’d be working from home (or able to spend a good chunk of most days at home) as that’s what they’re used to.

The house is a 2 storey, 4 bedroom and 10 minutes walk from Carlton railway station near Jubilee stadium.

We have ducted air conditioning and unlimited internet.

Avril & Tom were both so welcoming when I arrived at their house in Sydney. Their house is very comfortable situated in a lovely, friendly neighbour with everything you need close by. Looking after Pud and Boots was such a pleasure and they were the best company !! They were both very easy to look after and I was left with clear instructions when I arrived which was super helpful. I would recommend this house sit to anyone ! Thank you so much 🥰

Avril and Tom are an excellent hosts. From the first minute we met them they were so nice to us. They prepared and showed us some notes with all the important things to know about Pud&Boots and the house. It was very easy. The neighborhood is amazing. We had a very good time there, we got very attached with them. Thank you for everything!

Pudding is an absolute dream of a dog and Boots is a typically aloof cat... until the last day when he lets you pet him! Absolutely adored looking after them both. And Avril and Tom are such lovely, genuine people with a beautiful home. Was genuinely sad to leave! :)

I had a wonderful time looking after Pudding and Boots! They were such lovely company. Both full of character and constantly making me smile. Avril and Tom were great with communication and made me feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this sit to anyone who has the opportunity!

It’s been a few days now since my 5 week stint at Avril and Tom’s and I still miss the adorable Pud and Boots, the light-filled, warm house, the ridiculously comfortable sofa and bed, the huge TV with all the apps, the beautiful and easily maintained garden and of course, the lemon tree. Daily walks with Pud along the Bay and her favourite park and cuddle time with Boots the cat were highlights. Avril was the perfect host to housesit for. Her home is delightful and the office, well inspiring to say the very least. The garden divine especially the Frangipani tree out back. I was delighted to take care of Pudding (Dog) and Boots (Cat), both cuddly and obedient creatures. Instructions were very clear and the area perfectly silent. Everything at your fingertips as well. Hello Avril and Tom, I feel very fortunate to have spent this time in your lovely home in the company of Pud 'n' Boots. They are friendly and smoochy and have the nicest manners. Pud happily showed me around her patch. It was a special thrill when she jumped into the water and we went swimming together. Thanks for the slice of your mum's baking. It's really delicious!

Tom & Avril are such a beautiful couple and their fur babies, Boots & Pudding are lovely! We had a great time housesitting for them. The neighbourhood is beautiful, really close to Pine Harbour beach, where you can walk Pudding and she loves it! She is a very well trained dog. The house is amazing and the hospitality of Tom & Avril is what stands out the most. Thank you guys for trusting us with your home & your fur babies. We really enjoyed the stay and we hope to see you soon.

It was a pleasure to meet Tom & Avril and look after their home and pets. Pudding is a sweet well behaved dog, very patient with my toddler's attention. Boots the cat is independent but warms up if you still leave out cream every night. We enjoyed taking Pudding for walks around the beautiful Beachlands area. Felt very welcomed and comfortable the whole time plus communication throughout was quick and easy. Thanks for trusting us with your home and fur kids!

No rating I enjoyed house sitting for Avril and Tom, a friendly couple who made me feel welcome and comfortable in their home. They live in a well-kept home, full of interesting books. Their pets are adorable and easy to look after. Pud the dog is just the sweetest. the most well trained dog I have met. Beachlands has lots of nice walks, and feels quiet and relaxed, but is a 10 min walk from the marina, where you can catch a short ferry into Auckland, so you get the best of both worlds.
