A beautiful old character home in the heart of Sandy Bay, only minutes away from the water welcomes you!
Our place is only a few minutes walk away to lots of shops, cafes grocery stores and restaurants. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the Hobart city centre or alternatively, it's about a 5-10 minute drive.
Our house is situated in a residential area right next to the University of Tasmania. It's a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood with friendly neighbours. It's also right by one of our favourite off-lead dog beaches and if you like, you can walk along the water for several kilometres and discover other hidden gems along the way.
Our home is spacious, yet cozy and is easy to look after, with only minimal watering of plants needed.
We have no doubt that you'll feel right at home!
We are looking for someone to stay at our house and care for our dog Fritz while we go away for.
Fritz loves to go on walks, loves to run around and say hello to other dogs on the beach and just generally loves to being in the company of others. He's relatively young so he can still be a little cheeky but we have no doubt that he will become your best friend whilst you're here.
We'd need somebody to stay at our place and look after Fritz for that entire time.

Maren and Agust's beautiful dog Fritz was a pleasure to care for. Loves walking but quiet and easy while in the house and yard. The house is easy to care for and in a great, safe location, only a few minutes to the waterfront. Plenty of shops, cafes etc nearby. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
We loved our time with Fritz. He is very well behaved, good on the leash and with other dogs. He loved our little baby so I can confirm that he is good with kids. He is a pleasure to look after.
The house is well situated in Sandy Bay just walking distance to shops and cafes as well to the water side.
Communication with Maren was excellent.
If you get a chance to pet and housesit for Maren, I highly recommend it.
I recently spent a week at Maren and Agust's home in Sandy Bay and cared for their boy Fritz. I had easy and pleasant communications with Agust in the lead up to and an easy take-over on the day commencing the sit. There were absolutely no issues throughout the stay and I was provided with info about the house and area verbally and written. We had a beautiful house sitting in Marens and Agusts house. We loved to spend time with Fritz, he is an very happy, lovely and playful dog and easy to take care of. The house as well as the surrounding area is great - quiet and peaceful but close to the city and good for walks. Maren and Agust are so kind and easy going, the communication was easy and really friendly. We can definitely recommend to come here and would be happy to come again too.

Agust and Maren were very kind and accommodating. Communication was easy. Fritz was such a good dog - we had many adventures throughout the neighborhood and had fun training with treats and playing with his favorite ball. He was also a snuggle monster and loved hugs. The house and garden were beautiful and comfortable. It was the perfect last sit in Australia, and I miss Fritz very much! Thanks again!
An excellent house sit. Meren and Agust were easy to communicate with and had clear written instructions about the home, pet, garden and provided some great information about Sandy Bay and walks from the house. The home, located close to Sandy Bay, and the water, was clean and comfortable.
Fritz was a delight and easy to look after. He was good company on the many walks we did. I fully recommend this house sit.

Agust and Maren made me feel so at home during my stay. I truly felt like a guest, and my time with Fritz in Sandy Bay couldn’t have been more comfortable.
Fritz is gorgeous, and while he has a lot of energy and benefits from his walk, is so well trained for a young dog and has a very sweet temperament. I would jump at the chance to be in his company again!

We loved this housesit with very handsome Fritz, located in a lovely mountain cottage at Mt Wellington. Fritz was absolutely wonderful, so super cute and really well behaved. Maren and Agust were great communicators and prepared everything for our stay so we had nothing to do but relax and enjoy Fritzs' company. Would definitely stay again.
It was a pleasure to care for Agust and Maren's happy dog Fritz who loved getting out and going for a walk in the beautiful countryside. Being able to care for Fritz was made all the easier in Agust and Maren's beautiful, quiet and peaceful home in the Australian bush.
