We need a house sitter

Melbourne - South East

Our family is going away for a week and can't take our fur boy (Tibetan Spaniel X). We will be leaving Friday 8 November (morning) and returning Sunday 17 November (Late afternoon).

We're looking for someone/couple who loves dogs and will be home fairly regularly to keep Baxter company and take him for walks. We have recently moved into a single level unit, and need someone to be home to give him access to the backyard for the toilet breaks. He’s a snuggler and likes sleeping on the bed!

We have a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit in Bentleigh (1 bedroom and bathroom for house-sitter) open plan kitchen/dining with outdoor garden. We live close to Patterson train station (5 mins walk) which takes only 30 minutes into the CBD. An abundance of parks (Dendy Park) and sports, variety and choice on centre road and only a 15 minute walk away from trendy cafes, various 'cheap eats', lovely restaurants, artisan butchers & European delicatessens. Bentleigh is safe & friendly. Coles, Aldi and Woolworths are also on Centre Road. Only a short drive or cycle to Hampton st and the beach, perfect over the warmer months!

We are seeking a trustworthy, responsible, non-smoking professional/s who lives a fairly quiet lifestyle, and of course, loves dogs and will take good care of Baxter and be home regularly.

Someone who has previous experience house/dog sitting would be preferred and who can provide references. We'd like someone who is happy to provide us updates and share photos of our fur boy while we are away too!

If you'd like to stay in a lovely area of Melbourne, only a short drive to the beach and leisurely walk to shops, cafes and restaurants on Centre Road, only 13 kms from the CBD for just over a week, and most importantly, take care of our adorable and well-behaved little dog, please contact us ASAP. As soon as I met these three I knew right away it was going to be a pleasurable sit. Communications was free and easy which made the sit really pleasurable, and by providing me with a doc listing all the ins and outs I was able to ensure Baxter was comfortable and routine adhered to. The apartment is in a wonderful location close to everything, transport, shops bars and so on and there’s also a car park making things easy as well. We don’t even know where to begin—if we could give Baxter 10 stars, we would! He is the sweetest little pup, and you'll be heartbroken when it's time to leave. Every morning started with his wagging tail and smile, giving love and kisses. Baxter would gently lift his paws for his harness, making it impossible not to fall in love. After walks, he'd head straight to the bathroom, ready for his paws to be cleaned. We took him to the beach daily, where he loved running free and even dipped his paws ... MORE

Great time with Baxter! Natasha and her husband are very nice people. The communication worked out flawless and they told and showed us everything we needed to know. Baxter is a well-behaved, heartwarming dog who is always happy to cuddle and ready to go for a walk. The apartment is really nice and perfectly located, St. Kilda is great for spending your holidays! We'd happily dog-sitt for Natasha again!
