Hello, my name is Tara, my cat’s name is Slinky and we live in Thornbury, Victoria.

I’m wanting to visit family in Queensland over the Christmas holidays (specifically Dec 22nd - Jan 5th), but I need someone to take care of Slinky for me.

My cat is diabetic, so you would need to administer insulin injections twice a day. My strong preference is that you have done insulin injections before.

Every 12 hours, she requires:
- One can of wet food mixed with 1/8tsp powdered laxative
- An insulin injection of 0.5 units.

Otherwise, she’s pretty self-sufficient!

I’ve written out detailed instructions and taken videos on how to administer the insulin. I’d be available to chat over the phone before, during and after my trip. I am very responsive to texts.

The house
We live in a one bedroom apartment on the first floor. There is a washing machine, a dishwasher and a balcony. We are very close to High st, so there are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants nearby!
I’ll ask that you give my pot plants a quick water every now and then, but otherwise, there isn’t any maintenance required for the apartment itself.
