Hello, we live on the river in a quirky four bedroom house with our 20 month old golden retriever, Elivs. Our home is a little different- we live in a place where you park your car, and either walk into the house via a 600m track, or load up the tinny (provided) and take a ride to the dock- there's no car access. The area we live in a small little community on the river facing the bush. It's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, people who love to run and jump off the dock for a swim, those that work from home and like to enjoy nature, with the opposite bank completely bush. However, once you leave the valley here you're on a major train line (Sutherland) and it's an easy run into the city. Elvis, our goldie, is pretty dependent on us for company and can't be left alone for long periods- he's used to out constant presence in the house, and eats and chews everything if we are away too long (typical teenager). He loves a good run in the bush and along the riverbank, but isn't a gem on the lead (we're working on it! as he pulls a bit). Otherwise he's pretty wonderful- bombproof with kids, loyal and loving. We do have a larger block but the main thing in terms of garden is just watering our indoor plants. We have a covered deck and courtyard, and the pup normally uses the back to do his business.
