We have a 1950s renovated home with large front verandah and pool in the rear. We are 6km north of the city and close to many schools and public transport. Our main concern is for our aged dog, 14yr old cavalier/Tibetan spaniel cross who snores!! He requires a daily outing either to the local dog park / off leash area for a good sniff around and walk or on a harness for a walk in the surrounding area. He is fed twice daily and still quite agile although he does not need long walks anymore. As we both work from home regularly, we try not to leave him alone all day. He may want to sleep in the same room as you. We have front and back steps into the house. You'll be able to park your car off street behind a sliding gate. The suburb is leafy and quiet outside of school drop off and pickup. The garden is mainly laid to native trees and has an irrigation system so we don't anticipate any major gardening. The lawn won't require mowing.
The floors are all wood except the 2 downstairs bedrooms with carpet and this is where we envisage you will sleep. One bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the main bathroom is close-by. The pool is on automatic timer and chlorination and is maintained monthly by a professional pool service contractor and should not require any attention. Hopefully you may be able to use it however does not have heating.
