We are a family looking for someone to care for our pets and home while we are away on a holiday together. The crew are - a beautiful, energetic Labrador, a sweet (but naughty!), hairy Jack Russell and a loving cat.
Our home is on the edge of Forbes in central west NSW, set amongst trees and green garden on the banks of the Lachlan River.
We hope you would enjoy a relaxing time in Forbes, there is lots to do if you are keen to get out and about! Town has some lovely cafes. There is a pretty cool local art sculpture trail if you would like to do some sightseeing too. Or simply stay home and relax - we hope you would find our family home very comfortable.
In terms of house care and maintenance, there is minimal. We don’t expect you to mow the lawns.
We have really enjoyed connecting with the house sitters we have had in our home over the past few years. This is a wonderful website and we have been so lucky with our experiences. Looking forward to meeting the next sitters!!!

Nik and her family have a beautiful house with all the comforts you could possibly need, and the house is in a great location - close enough to town, yet with a natural feel to it. Winnie and Hank are such sweet dogs and are very low maintenance. Tux the cat has a very sweet personality and is no trouble at all. We enjoyed their delicious, homegrown citrus fruit too, which they generously shared with us. Thank you Nik & family!

Probably one of my best house/pets sits. Wonderful and friendly dogs and cat. Dogs enjoyed their daily river swims (the property is situation on the Lachlan River), and daily walks. Winnie loves to fetch sticks thrown into the water and Hank is content to swim near the shoreline. Both are easy dogs to care for. They also enjoyed their daily walks. This family were very helpful & live in a pleasant spot on the river near the edge of town. The garden was easy to care for and their two dogs are individuals with lovely, lively characters. Hint; any spare tennis balls would be eagerly appreciated by Winnie. Hank - the little guy -would love something to chew, preferably edible. I’m sure other sitters would find this sit equally pleasant. Thanks again, Nik.

Nik Jim and family are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. All round lovely family. The home was extremely comfortable. The fur babies Winnie and Hank were so much fun. So easy to care for and enjoy. Would recommend this house sit as a great stay.

Nik and Jim's lovely house and garden on the banks of the Lachlan, was a delight - on the edge of Forbes but close to everything. Winnie the Labrador was energetic, but easy to look after and very affectionate. Tux the cat too! Chooks provide regular eggs. Nik and Jim left clear instructions and communication was easy - good people, a really great family. I highly recommend a stay here.

Nik & Jim were fantastic hosts. The location of their house on the outskirts of Forbes on the Lachlan River was very peaceful, but still close to the lake and town. The interactions of Winnie the retriever & Tux the kitten provided me with hours of entertainment, while the chooks gave a few eggs. Communication was excellent throughout. I loved my time there.

Nik and her family have created the most amazing home and we felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived the night before their departure. The house and its setting are beautiful and very comfortable, and there is plenty for the kids to do. We had a very relaxing stay and plenty of rest, which was exactly what we needed.
