UPDATE: Thank you to everyone for your messages and offers to house sit, the response has been fantastic! I think I have found someone to look after the house and cats, I will be confirming with them soon. To everyone else, thank you for offering to help me out.

Hi there! I'm looking for a friendly house sitter to look after my modern townhouse in Cremorne, (inner Melbourne, just near the MCG, Botanic Gardens, Tennis Centre, etc.) while I'm away from 23 December to 6 January.
You will be staying in a modern, spacious, clean and tidy townhouse in Cremorne, 10 mins walk from Richmond Train Station (1 stop to Flinders St) and the Swan Street shops / cafes / restaurants / bars and supermarket. Also right next to the Yarra River bike path, with easy access to the Botanic Gardens and the City. It has all mod cons:
- Fast internet
- 75 inch TV with plenty of streaming services
- fully equipped modern kitchen
- large master bedroom with ensuite, spa bath, and very comfy bed
- back courtyard with BBQ, hammock, and pond with gentle waterfall.. You can forget you're in the city!
There is also a driveway for your car if you're bringing one.
I have two cats: Harriet, who is very friendly and affectionate when she gets to know you, but can be a little shy and elusive to start with; and Humphrey, who's a bit younger and very playful once he gets to know you, but also still a bit shy and skittish, as he was found on the street as an abandoned kitten.
Both cats are relatively low maintenance, and just need the dry food in their bowl topped up as needed. Being adopted strays, they both prefer being outside, especially during the day. They have a cat door, and pretty much come and go as they please, though they generally come back home around dinner time. They do both enjoy coming onto the bed at night for some cuddles. However, being adopted street cats, they tend to be quite wary of people they don't know yet, so be prepared that they might both keep their distance initially.
Apart from the cats, I have about a dozen indoor plants, and these will need to be watered each day. (Automatic watering systems take care of watering the front and back gardens.)
If house sitting here interests you, please get in touch, and tell me a little bit about where you normally live, and why you're interested in house sitting. Any house sitting references would be a big positive - it's hard to trust everything you own to someone you haven't met!
