Hi,
we are urgently looking for an extremely experienced and highly responsible house sitter that loves the company of cats.
I have two cats that were trapped from a ferrel colony and have been here for 18 months in the process of domesticating. The kitten is fairly tame now but the mum cat strikes out at times so we require a patient, understand and caring person. We also have a domestic cat downstairs who is fairly straightforward.
The “ferrels” are confined to the upstairs and it is critical that they are kept secure.
We have a beautiful, renovated house in Paddington, Brisbane. Paddington is a great location only 2 kms to the city. We have a small backyard with a magnesium swimming pool about to be completed. (It will depend on the day of completion and the,sitters preference to take on the maintenance that goes with it as to whether the pool is filled or not). There’s a rainforest backdrop and city glimpses from the house and balconies.

House sitters must be prepared to be home each day by dusk to bring the domestic cat in, feed and provide companionship. A reasonable level of fitness is required to carry the cat inside if needed and to manage the 2 sets of internal stairs. There will also be regular garden watering/maintenance and it is important to us for the house to be kept clean.

We will prefer to meet our house sitter prior to going ahead with the house sit and to get the ferrels used to you :) the might not show themselves at all but are at the stage where they follow me around for companionship.
