A fabulous opportunity to visit and explore one of Australia's iconic destinations - Far North Queensland. Exquisite in the wet season - this house sit is a bit unique.

This is a caravan park in the Bloomfield Valley - 1km north of Ayton Village and 60km south of Cooktown - at the northern edge of the Daintree. The park will be closed to guests.

A two bedroom, air conditioned cottage set amongst tropical gardens, is available for your stay.

Bear, our 8.5kg terrier mix, will be your guide and fellow explorer. Adaptable to lazy days or adventures in the car, Bear is not aware he is not human. He does sleep with us however, is trained to sleep in his own bed too. He is semi-human.

A groundsman will visit to manage the 5 acres of lawns, however, if it doesn't rain for seven days or more, there may be a couple of taps to turn on (timers) - unlikely as it will be the wet season. A small pool is available.

The beach and wharf are within 2km - great fishing. The iconic Lion's Den is 35km north and then, you also have Cooktown to wile away some days.

If weather permits, a short 40km south, on the Bloomfield Track (4WD required) and you are at Cape Tribulation with the Daintree at your disposal.

Due to being able to manage the grounds with external camera's, there is opportunity for you to explore while in the area.
